you're onto something when you're talking about villains.... there's a lot of commonality...........................

It's the debut film of three different Bond's. The DN and LALD climaxes take place on islands while OHMSS takes place on a mountain top. Therefore OHMSS is the odd one out.

You’re playing in the right sandbox, but I want you to think of the schemes...

    Or more specifically, the schemers...

Is it simply DN and OHMSS have SPECTRE operatives and LALD is independent?

    OK:
    LTK/FYEO/MR

LTK and FYEO both feature yachts or large water vessels. MR does not, therefore MR is the odd one out.

LTK is odd one out? The others feature one Bondgirl which is killed the day after sex with Bond?

MR. Because only LTK and FYEO adapted bits of Fleming's LALD.

    LTK not a Fleming title?

Wow. And my first guess too.

    YOLT-AVTAK-TWINE

A long shot, but YOLT? The only true Fleming title? A View to a Kill being a corruption of From a View to a Kill etc.

    Not that, no.

YOLT? The two main villains are a couple in TWINE and in AVTAK and all of them die.

TWINE and AVTAK both feature hysterical American female leads, while YOLT features Japanese actress. Therefore YOLT is odd one out.

YOLT is the odd one out because it's not the ally's car that goes in the water.

You're 90% there so I'll happily give it to ya, @QBranch. The common trait was that both AVTAK and TWINE specifically have a Rolls-Royce sink/be submerged under water (whereas in the similar scenario in YOLT the car is another make), but your non-/ally explanation also works and singles out YOLT. Your turn!

    Thanks, @BondAficionado!

Now here's an easy one. Pick the odd one out.

    Philips
    Gillette
    Schick

I might be totally wrong, but Bond has used both Schick and Philips razors…but not Gillette?

Edit: forgot about GF. Philips is the only electrical razor?

"You like close shaves." Always loved that line from Pussy Galore!

    Yep!

Unlike Gillette & Schick, Philips did not feature safety razors in the Bond films, but rather, electric shavers.

    Your round, Torg!

That was a fun round of Odd One Out, @QBranch; very specific topic. :-)
    _____________

Can't say mine is just as interesting, but I'll give it a try:

    DN
    LALD
    SP

A little hint: All of these films have something in common, but there's something about one of them that's quite unique, strangely enough – and not just for these three films.

LALD and SP feature trains, DN doesn't therefore DN is odd one out? Weak guess but figured I would attempt to kick start the new challenge!

Good guess, but it's not trains and vehicles I'm thinking of. :-)
