I'm interested to experience it myself, sometime this summer. Has the US release date of the trade been set in stone yet?

    I hope you do enjoy.

They have published a date of July 7th for the Vargr hardcover. The Eidolon arc starts this week.

Can't say that meshes well with a Fleming Bond that dislikes killing, but to each their own.

He might say so in the Books occasionally but he is a killer by profession and his actions speak louder than his words. I don't think he outright enjoys Killing people (except on some occasions) but he sure has hell has not much of a Moral code when it comes to that. Next to no empathy as well. He just doesn't like his Jobs to be too messy

But Bond has many interpretations and everyone can take different things from them. It's been a while since i read Fleming, i am working my way through colonel Sun and the Gardners where Bond is straight up ruthless most of the time.

To quote or paraphrase from Vargr "killing a man is never a simple thing."

Am I the only one who never really thought of Dharma Reach as a Bond Girl? It's just... the Bond Girl spirit wasn't there in this arc.

No you're not. Vargr was completely Bond Girl free as far as i'm concerned. Thats why i am looking forward to Eidolon even more.

I'm usually like that when I read a comic book that really interests me. And tomorrow's going to be even better with it, especially when it's Bond vs SPECTRE story that I'm reading. :D

James Bond Vol. 1: VARGR comes out on 22! They just have updated it, again!

Yes, it's the hardcover of the first six issues combined.

Is there no paperback version? I'm not much of a hardcover man.

Not, as of yet. I don't if there will be, though.

You could always order all the six issues separately as they are nice and light.

I think it will sell very well. I noticed that Amazon still has it listed for 07.07. I am starting to wonder if they could not keep up with the demand

    Issue #7. Read.

Too many fan-friendly references you'll notice and like. :D

And yes, it's more graphic than VARGR.

    Ok just finished reading Eidolon....
    Man this was good =P~
I need a cigarette now, and i don't even smoke

My thoughts on it, not very spoilery but just to be sure:
Meeting a certain someone at the Airport should put any doubt to Rest that this Bond isn't Fleming Enough.
I loved the Humor and Bond being more chatty in General.
And I really loved the fact that Ellis is building continuity and creating his own universe, which makes me think he's in it for the long run. I certainly hope so

    My thoughts exactly! :D

Although, I do wish that certain someone had a better look than the casual Hawaiian surfer type that's on his way to look for a more formal job. Lol! :))

One of the action sequences had Bond pulling off RED, if you noticed! :D

    It DID notice that! :)
So now Ellis borrowed a scene from the Movie that was an Adaption of his own comic.

Yeah the look of that guy was certainly unusual to say the least.

Found the Hardcover copy of Vargr today, and it's worth every Cent, also all the Alternative covers are included
