  • Loved Big Bang Theory when it was about four socially awkward science and sci-fi geeks trying to understand the world around them. Then they turned it into just another relationship sitcom.
  • Cutthroat Island is a better pirate film than any of the Pirates of the Carribbean films.
  • That Die Hard commercial is the first time in forever that Bruce Willis has shown any sense of fun and humour in his work. A Die Hard 6 with the old fun Willis would be great not the lazy, show up for the cheque Willis of late.
  • Diamonds Are Forever was my first ever visit to the cinema. I became a lifelong cinema fan, a lifelong Bond fan and a lifelong Sean Connery fan. The first poster I had on my bedroom wall was Connery as Bond. Sad news indeed. R.I.P.
  • I think Fassbender would have been great but didn't he say he wasn't interested in the role of Bond. Of course that was before he had three potential franchise flops. Maybe he may feel differently now.
  • Tenet was always going to be a more adult leaning movie and as such was never going to attract a huge audience, a more family friendly movie may have done better. To expect Tenet to save cinema was wishful thinking. Is the problem now covid or more …
  • Dont really go on YouTube very often so had no idea Adkins had a YouTube channel. Thanks for the info @MajorDSmythe i will check it out.
  • Great to see Scott Adkins getting a mention on here. I throughly enjoy watching him on screen really charismatic actor i think and he can certainly kick some serious ass
  • With a new trailer and posters it would seem that NTTD is a definite lock for November. I guess EON and MGM are just going to hope for the best and have abandoned any idea of a billion dollar Bond.
  • Well said @TripAces. Cruises' following of Scientology really seems to bother people. Personally i couldn't care less about his or anyone else's religious beliefs. I dont care that Cruise is a Scientologist anymore than i care that Mel Gibson is Cat…
  • So the evil empire that is Disney have decided no more physical 4k back catalogue release's. Very short sighted i think. Not everyone has or even wants streaming services. I can live without Disney movies never been a massive Disney fan anyway, but …
  • Never liked Once Upon a Time in the West. Simply cannot regard it as Leone's masterpiece. Overlong and more than a little pompous. All three Dollars films are better. The best for me is For a Few Dollars More.
  • An independent cinema owner was being interviewed on todays Film Programme on radio 4 and Mulan came up in the conversation. This was recorded at the point at which Disney had pulled its August release. This guy has done everything required to ens…
  • Pre or post watershed the "there's something i'd like you to get off your chest" scene in DAF is always cut.
  • I love America and the people. San Francisco is one of my favourite cities to visit. But come November you have a choice between one doddery old man and another doddery old man. Oh or Kanye West!!! Your country is well and truly f*#ked
  • Movies used to have staggered release patterns all the time and if that works for the foreseeable future then so be it. People forget that while Star Wars opened in the US in May 77 it didnt reach the UK until December 77 and then only in London. It…
  • The question is who is going to be the first to jump in and take the risk. I can't at this point see any of the big studios putting their movies out knowing that there is every chance that cinemas could be shut down a week after their tentpole movie…
  • From Nico to Executive Decision Seagal films were all wonderfully fun and entertaining in an undemanding way. But top of the list for me is Glimmer Man. Great chemistry with Wayans i thought. Best scene, Seagal kicking ass in the restaurant after h…
  • Season 3 of True Detective was ruined for me by Mahershalla Ali's mumbling. Great actor but half of his dialogue was completely unintelligible. Season 2 is not as bad as some critics made out, it's slow to start but picks up halfway through and C…
  • @Mathis1 i knew people wouldn't agree with my feelings about OUTITW and thats fine it's just my own view of it, i prefer the dollars trilogy more. Of course Morricone's score is great though. The harmonica theme is wonderful. But if i had to pick …
  • Good, Bad and Ugly was my introduction to both Eastwood and the spaghetti western. I really hadn't seen anything quite like it at the time. Loved it then, love it now. However, over time i have come to prefer For a few dollars more. I find it a mo…
  • THE definitive Bond woman. Never bettered never forgotten. R.I.P.
  • Love the scene in MR when after falling from the cable car and landing on the ground Goodhead asks "anything broken" and Moore looks at his torn suit and says " only my tailors heart". Classic Roger Moore
  • Don't get me wrong Spielberg hasnt made a great film since Munich but i still live in hope that he can recapture some of his old magic. Looking forward to West Side Story his long awaited foray into the musical genre. I dont doubt that Mangold woul…
  • Well that news came out of the blue. To younger people i dont think the Spielberg name means quite so much as it does to us older folks. I grew up during that golden period from the mid seventies to the late eighties when Spielbergs genius was i…
  • Not only is the movie Outland underrated but so is it's director Peter Hyams. I've always enjoyed his no nonsense style of filmmaking. Just really good storytelling all done with style but not overly flashy. Capricorn One, Star Chamber, The Relic a…
  • Death in Paradise series 9 ep.1. Have to say not terribly impressed with this series opener, it just seemed quite flat. The new DS is rather bland and Shyko Amos' Ruby is just awful. Not cute, not loveable, not funny just very annoying. I loved bot…
  • While i'm not holding my breath that there will even be a gunbarrel at the start of NTTD i would love to hear how Zimmer will score it if we do get one
  • 90% of the scores i own are pre 2000 and everything i buy now consists of older scores being expanded or restored. All on cd or vinyl i have to say. I like to have a physical copy. My most recent being Monte Carlo or Bust and Goldsmiths First Grea…
  • Surely the most obvious release to debut the teaser is Knives Out. Thats coming November i believe
