@Creasy47 Re: pre-order link, I have to send the draft to Amazon and then I can set up the price options, or so I heard. It won't be expensive. But you all learn as soon as it is available to pre-order/purchase, I promise.
Some FAQs answered:
1- Release date: I put June 8, 2019, as a sort of "deadline" to me since I'm on the final phase of the book, seeing if I could add or polish some words/information. Expect the book to be available to order that day or even before.
2- Availability: I'll be honest, I'm a rookie on this, but I was told Amazon "prints" a book everytime you order it. So it shouldn't be a problem. You order, they print it, they send it.
3- Price: I'll let you know later this month, I know this is defined once you send the draft. But I won't make it expensive, more or less as a regular (non official) Bond essay book as those of A View To A Kill and the Timothy Dalton era.
4- Stills: There'll be no photos other than the cover artwork, I'm afraid. I don't have permission and I don't want trouble with EON, Gettyimages, Keith Hamshere, etc. I even tried to make the cover as evocative as I could to the film's subject. I recently chagned the book's logo, since (even when being recreated) looked way too similar to the official one. One thing is a site, the other is a commercial work.
5- Spanish version: Yep, it'll be published in Spanish by the end of the year. I'll have to translate the original text, so it'll take some time. As I know you all are collectors, I promise a different cover artwork so that both editions (if you buy them) look different enough in your shelves.

This book looks great! I have to thank @Dragonpol for bringing it to my attention, and when I did read about it, I figured it could use some more attention, and what better place than a Bond forum? Eagerly awaiting June 8 or sooner.
For someone who owns the film in more than 10 different editions counting VHS, DVD, BluRay and Laserdisc, believe me this is "a true labour of love"
Same here! Much to my chagrin, I had to avoid the MatrixWide (logo) or MatrixBook fonts to avoid copyright complaints, following the advice of two friends, but I thing BankGothic makes the film justice and it's a nod to the N64 game as well. ;)
Your question will be answered, @MaxCasino . Briefly and perhaps with a quote by Don McGregor I have to look up on my files. That said, I clearify the book is NOT a making-of of the film, it's more an in-depth analysis that includes some bits of the filmmaking/artistic aspect.
Some subjects I'll be touching: The Cold War, the August 1991 coup against Gorbachov, analysis on the characters based on quotes of the actors (for example, Gottfried John said "Ourumov is like a trapped animal", how does that translate into the story), the story dealing with patriotism and betrayal, the precedent marked by Natalya Simonova which is repeated by some of the Craig Bond girls, some Fleming references, things like that.
Thanks for the information! I'm interested to read it either way!
I did write parts of it while listening to Serra's score, so that's the way to go ;)
Are you a fan of it?
I don't consider it the best of the series, but I do like it and I think it fits the film perfectly. "The GoldenEye Overture", "We Share The Same Passions" and "The Experience of Love" are fantastic tracks IMO.
This book sounds like it's just up my street! I especially like any references to the 1991 coup (which Xenia was involved in according to John Gardner's novelisation).
It also links in nicely with Gardner's The Man From Barbarossa (1991) which featured a similar plot to the eventual coup. I believe that I had a thread here years ago on the links between TMFB and GE.
Anyway, I'll certainly be purchasing this excellent sounding book as soon as it becomes available. Congratulations to my friend @NS_writings on getting this book written. It deserves to do very well as I know that GoldenEye has a huge fan base.
Books on the individual Bond films are thankfully becoming much more common with (by my count) ones on GF, OHMSS, AVTAK, TLD and a new book on the two Dalton films.
An exclusive excerpt will be published later on www.thebondbulletin.com, late tonight or tomorrow.
Congratulations, @NS_writings!
