    GOLDFINGER

    I am not going to denigrate GE as people know I have never really been impressed by it on another thread.

    But my arguments for GF are on this new thread

    I enjoy both films - Goldfinger has some iconic moments for sure.
    But I think Goldeneye is a very good Bond film, one of my favorites. So yes, Goldeneye for sure. And that is still keeping in mind I love Sean.

    Goldfinger triumphs in every way imaginable. That whole movie is just pure 60's class and Connery is way better in Goldfinger than Brosnan in his movie.

    (and no, it doesn't affect me the least bit that Goldfinger was my first Bond movie)

    Both films are held in high regard by the general film going public. I think GF is rather over rated, and certainly no where near as good as DN, FRWL or TB.

    I'm voting GE. I think it was PB's best out of his four. It's fun, classy, uses great locations, has interesting charcters, a unique score and feels like a Bond movie should.

    I can't believe it's not far from being 20 years old! I still consider it the start of the 'modern era of Bond'!

    Goldfinger wins by default on the basis that Goldeneye has Boris and Judi Dench in it!

    I'm going to be a bias little bugger. Sure, GE has awesome stunts, super sexy Natalya, Brosnan when he wasn't screwed by the script, and interesting partner turned enemy plot, and an amazing tank fight in St. Petersburg, but GF has Sean Connery, so it instantly wins. The man the Bond blueprint, and elevates films just by being in them. No contest here, pretty boy Brozzer. :))

    So, any Bond film-Connery< Any films with Sean.

    A proven, mathematical fact.

    A fairly easy one for me: Goldfinger. I'm simply astonished the amount of slack it gets on these forums, and I just don't get it. GoldenEye is a good film, mind you, but Goldfinger wins.

    GE, by far. GF is a very enjoyable film in the series for me, but nothing will ever trump GE in my eyes.

    GoldenEye easily.

    I find GF overrated. Great villain for sure, but Bond does not do much in the second half. The first half is excellent though.

    Basically how I feel, Auric and Oddjob are awesome villains and the first half, except for the boring driving scenes through Geneva, is all right. Still though, GoldenEye remains perfect 100% of the way through, whereas GF falls apart not even halfway through when you include those dull Geneva driving scenes.
