    Indeed..i love the way Orlov knows nobody is interested but still carries on with his 'invasion' project,only to end up slumped in his chair with a sulky,childlike petulance on his face.

    It's a great set. The girders, the portrait of Lenin, the plants, the map.

    I'll start OCTOPUSSY

    This time I'll pretend I've never seen it, and that I belong in the 21st Century where every film needs to have story arc. I'll also pretend I firmly believe B25 needs to have the same cast, locations and plot as SPECTRE.
    I'v only seen the Craig entries and the previous film, FYEO.

    WOW again. I'm baffled 007 reverses his jacket. His clothes actually seem to fit.
    This is amazing. I'm used to Bond wearing clothes too small.

    I guess that wasn't Melina after all. I was pretty sure Bond was going to remain with her the rest of his life after FYEO.

    PTS finished and my joke got old. Now I'm just watching OP as the fan I am.

    I still prefer Bonds to be stand alone.

    Titles. I always thought Bond's double here looks like Mischka in a suit.

    When I think of Roger's Bond, his appearance in OP is the first that come to mind. He looks great in this one, IMO.

    009 assassinated. One of my favorite post tile sequences in the series. I love the night cinematography here. Very moody.

    OP is one of Barry's finest IMO,as is AVTAK.

    I'm a big fan of the OP score as well, and particularly that 009 assassination bit. I also like the section when Bond is roaming around outside Kamal's palace, when Orlov arrives. The score blends in beautifully with the copter blade sound (Barry was always so good at incorporating physical environment sounds into his scores).

    Barry's score is quite dark and serious in this one.

    The ambassador is dressed like Bela Lugosi's Dracula. White tie, tails and medallion. Little known fact, Lugosi's medallion from the 1931 DRACULA was stolen from Forrest J Ackerman, who recalled the ribbon as either red or blue. Most artwork depict as red, though I tend to side with the possibility it was, in fact, blue. The satin lining on Lugosi's cape was a muted silver/gray.

    Speaking of vampires:

    Orlov's silhouette in this scene reminds me of Max Schreck in NOSFERATU.

    It's a great soundtrack, IMO. Good shout. Every note works within that scene.

    Robert Brown was an excellent replacement for Lee, IMO. He looks the part, and is giving Bond quite the scolding here.
