I couldn't even pick the top ten, but here goes nothing!

(1.) GoldenEye- my personal favorite, one of the first Bond movies I saw

(2.) Live and Let Die- the best lot of villains in the series, excellent performance by Roger Moore, perfect theme song that showcases Classic Rock!

(3.) Diamonds Are Forever- a great finish to Sean Connery's era as 007, a fun and interesting plot, very exciting

    Easy

    Octopussy
    The Living Daylights
    On Her Majesty's Secret Service

No Connery, would be hard to leave FRWL and TB behind. But there ya go.
Hopefully I could use my Bear Grylls survival skills to escape said island. (That has a power supply to watch said Bond films) ;-)

I picked my 3 based on all three major Bond actors, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan. I just selected the ones that I thought were the best of their era as 007.

If you could take 5 those would all be great choices. Nice to see love for the 2 best 1980s Bond films(IMHO, of course).

I'd have to take DAF, GF and YOLT. The most outlandish of the Connery classics.
Just curious, timmer. If you could take a 4th, would it be TMWTGG? Exotic island, Maud and Britt, plenty of outlandishness, etc.
    But no Sean Connery. ;-)
Samuel is right. I would have to go with TB next but I might take TMWTGG over DN and FRWL if I could only take 5. FRWL and DN are both flawless Connery Bond films but for me the series really took off with GF, so I could pass on both DN and FRWL, having the biggest Sean films in place already, and then go with Golden Gun, which is a film I really like, not only for the girls but for the campy/dark vibe that Guy Hamilton brings to the proceedings. It's also got one one of my favourite Barry scores and its really well shot. It's a nice film to look at for both scenery and set design.
  • Well i'm going to be 100% honest; if i had to take only 3 Bond films to a desert island, it would have to be:

    - Casino Royale (Other than the drawn-out poker game it's one amazing film)
    - GoldenEye (Another Martin Campbell Bond Film. Another Great Bond Film.)
    - Quantum of Solace ("Please don't hurt me!", i have to say that this one is the one that passes time much more quickly, even if not even close to been best.)

Take three Bond films to a desert island?

    That's easy enough

Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun and The World Is Not Enough

If I want to bend the rules slightly and as a second option maybe

Moonraker, The Spy Who Loved Me and Casino Royale

I'd ideally like to have three Bond women to keep me company (if it were possible) to accompany my Bond viewing

Jane Seymour, Ursula Andress and Barbara Bach, (as they were in their respective films)

I think that would be mighty fine -

Watching Moonraker on some remote Pacific island, superlative sunsets, and with say Jane Seymour in hand, drinking pina coladas, and rolling about in the dunes..

Well we live in hope 8-|

I think I have to concur Benny.
This is a bit like 'which Bond film would you save if your house was on fire' and I have to say that in both instances I find myself like a child heading for its mothers bosom and in a crisis I need the comfort of a bit of Rog so OP it has to be.

OHMSS second simply because its the best.

TLD just about shades CR, FRWL and MR as it has a more Bond feel than CR and is more exciting than FRWL. Cant have MR as two Rog efforts would be a bit too indulgent.

    No contest.

From Russia With Love - An all-time classic you would never tire of
Goldeneye - Like many others here, this was my 1st and deserves its place
Casino Royale - Quite simply the best Bond film so far

Well I guess this pretty much means my top 3.

    1)Casino Royale

    2)From Russia With Love

    3)On Her Majesty's Secret Service

This is easy. The best films from Connery, Moore and Craig:

    FRWL, TSWLM, CR.

Runners up: TB, LALD, TLD, GE.

Can't I just burn all of them onto 3 bluray discs? ;)

    Live and Let Die
Die Another Day (whatever guys, its not that bad, hahaha)
    License to Kill

Taking only three of ´em is not an option. Anyhow, to see them I would need electricity. And when there´s electricity I can also take a harddrive containing all of them. Ha!

I might leave out the Brosnan films perhaps.

    I'd take:
    Octopussy (the most enterteining)
The Man With The Golden Gun (The best film of the series for me)
Casino Royale (a great balance between action and plot)

Octopussy, yes thats a good one... perhaps I'd change mine.
(if its not too late and im already on the island with power and a tv with a dvd player.)

I probably wouldn't , I'd probs just swim about in my Daniel Craig blue budgie smugglers then lie down on the beach for a bit before going to catch a wild boar in the style of bear grylls , roasting it and then settling down for tea with Berenice marlohe whilst tracks such as " bond with bongos " and "inside man" to name a few played in the background .

Then afterwards we probably make love if I wasn't too full from the boar :)

I'd try and smuggle a few extra dvd's (DN & FRWL) in my island girl's bikini top, but if I could only have three, I'd probably pick:

    TB
    OHMSS
LTK (this film has risen considerably in my rankings recently)

    :)

    FRWL
    CR
    TB

I won't need DN because Ursula is going to the island with me. We can reenact a few scenes...

FRWL - the first Bond movie I watched and then there's Bond vs Grant. I can't get bored with this movie.
CR - fresh new Bond in Craig and really got me back into Bond.
OHMSS - what can I say, I just love this movie.
