    Bond and Mr. White.

Well at least decent acting for a change.

Bond and Swann. Not much of any chemistry again...and after Eva and Olga this is just disappointing.

The first decent piece of action in the film and it's not ruined by color filters.
I also find Whishaw to be the one main reason why SPECTRE is watchable.

He steals every scene and even in the plane/car chase sequence he is the secret star.

The score....oh well....I'm sorry but it's just not good enough for Bond.

The ring on the touchpad of Q's laptop.

This got to be the stupidest thing ever making the gene-therapy in DAD a thing of science fact in comparison.

Retcon. @Remington absolutely this and the yellow dirty on the screen kills the film pretty much.

I also find the acting is bad with everyone in that film. I wonder why, it’s basically the same cast from skyfall where they all acted fine. Maybe it’s the cringey dialogue but that scene with M and Bond at the start is very hard to watch without a face palm
This is without doubt the most offensive thing about this film for me. Not the filter and not the score but rather the acting. I too can't understand the reasons for it but it's quite unforgiveable and self sabotaging because I really would rather not see any of these people in a Bond film again as a result.

    Thank EoN for Whishaw.

Another scene with him (and Swann and Bond).

I actually despise Lea Seydoux and Andrew Scott in this. Lea has no personality other than being depressed and Scott is just annoying.

Denbigh is probably just there to make looks Fiennes M a bit more likeable.
    FAIL.

A hotel room, a mouse, a drunk blonde.

Almost sounds like the beginning of a great joke....

Shame. I really like Craig as the aging agent. He looks old at 47 but still very attractive.
If only the story had been a bit more decent.

Back in London we get another taste of Denbigh vs M, with a touch of Moneypenny.

"it's not personal, it's the future" - oh I bloody well hope not for the sake of Bond.

A touch of Greatness covered in yellow dirt.

The whole train sequence is the highlight, sans the awkward Swann/Bond talk.

What I don't get is why we get punched into the face by Craig posing as Connery from Goldfinger pts. It looks ridiculous in my eyes. Craig came relatively close in CR, but this is laughable at best.

The fight is fantastic though!! THE highlight of the film.

Again, I'm sorry to be so hard on the film, but it really is hard to take.

The acting is on auto pilot I blame the director, the more I have watched SP the more I understand Craig's post filming negative comments, Craig isn't enjoying himself in this film at all.

I had to watch the fight twice. It's bloody fantastic!

Bond and Swann, adrenaline loaded having sex. I get it, I approve!

That part is great. And I appreciate the fact the film slows down for a bit.

The anticipation is building. The desert scene with the Rolls Royce is really well done.
Is this really the same director...?

The Hinx fight one of the best scenes in the film, it's believable Bond is in serious trouble.

Yes, it's rather good, she's a bit annoying though!

Franz's lair reminds me of the hotel in the desert in QoS.

The retcon talk of Franz is really stupid. I hate it, to be honest.

Me. It was all me James, It has always been me, the author of all your pain.
this is actually a great line, very memorable, sadly it doesn't have any weight....where was Franz in CR, QoS and SF? Where, if I may ask?

I remember when I used to love SP... sigh. Now it’s just a meh Bond film for me sadly.

    The white room.

I guess I rather say nothing, than being negative again.

At least I know it's followed by some really awesome assault rifle action which is well made.

SP would have worked better if Bond's quarry was not Blofeld and just... No forget it the jealous step brother angle just does not work.

The said scene is clearly the highlight for me after the train fight.
Craigbond really knows how to handle the CSA!! Holy hell, Craig is so cool here!

30 minutes left....another break for me.
    London calling soon.

Let's see what we have so far:

-the score: that really is a main problem, many Bond films profit heavily from the scores, here it's clearly the opposite.
-the color filters: while already present in SF the use of them in SP is insulting.
-the cast: sadly I feel this is the weakest cast so far, bar Whishaw who is great.
-the retcon: I know more is coming up in London but so far it's been most annoying.

On the other hand there is quite a bit of great stuff in SP:
-Sciarra's widow, why wasn't she chosen to be the main Bond girl? Oh wait...daughter...
    -the fight in the train.
-the train itself and the train station afterwards.
-the shoot-out after Bond escapes the white room.
-the sets, they are actually all quite beautiful.
-the gun-barrel, shaken not stirred, Bond James Bond, finally this era doesn't deny anymore that it's actually James Bond.

I love this fight scene, but the fall at 1:08 to 1:10 is so unintentionally funny.

The hinx fight is good... though slightly ruined for 5 reasons
1/ there’s like no one else in the train
2/ Craig is supposed to be a rage monster but for the first time in the series gets his ass handed to him
    3/ it ends kinda goofy
4/ it’s not like CR and QOS with bleeding and gritty after effects of fights
5/ weird transition into a sex scene

Reason one i agree with however
Reasons two and three I actually like.
Reasons four and five I have no issue with.
