Don't you just miss the glorious days of our beloved Christartos? @Focas and he could have been great pals.

Why did he get banned? 12 posts is a little low to make a judgement on someone. And who the heck is this @Christartos you keep speaking of.

If it only takes 12 posts to perfectly demonstrate you're simply a returning troll, then you're doing something wrong.

Christartos (that was just one of his aliases) was a former poster, who had no interest in discussing Bond. He had a certain way of posting, which Focas shares, that was just one giveway.

@Mendes4Lyfe, you're relatively new, but this guy has been a troll on the forums for years, returning over several duplicate accounts in the past to wreak his lunacy on us. I'd be surprised if he hasn't had at least 12 separate accounts, all banned.

Why do you think the Brosnan era movies were so popular at the time among the Bond and non-Bond fans and now they get so much sh*t from almost everyone?

I mean, I do remember back then everybody running their way to the cinemas every time a new Bond movie was being played and everybody saying that PB was the best Bond ever.

Me too. I lived through that era and became a fan a few years before the start of it. I can't explain it other than to say we like to knock down our icons after their era is over (and someone else is in their place). It's in fashion too and we seem to like keeping up with the Joneses in that respect when it comes to Pierce Brosnan.

Or maybe it was the enthusiasm everybody had because there was a 6-year hiatus.
I believe the two middle films (TND - TWINE) were very entertaining and still are and they have dated very well.

Yes, that too certainly helped, I've no doubt. Absence makes the heart to fonder etc.

My personal favourites of his are TWINE and GE.

These two are my favorite too. It is strange though how peoples' opinion changes in hindsight.

Yes, it certainly is. I'm not as fickle as most people, though.

A British study from 2003 that I recently read about shows that extroverts are much happier than introverts, except for prison inmates where it is the other way around. That s pretty interesting.

I'm an introvert pretending and acting like an extrovert...and I am not a prison inmate.

Now that's pretty interesting and am I now happier?

I am fed up with the lack of good movies out there and have long resorted to watching more Netflix, Amazon Prime or renting things and especially series at the library.
    I will recommend (for history buffs) on Amazon Prime;
The White Queen...only one season unfortunately. Is a good dramatization of the final years of the Wars of the Roses starting with the reign of Edward IV and ending with Henry Tudor(Henry VII) taking the crown. Good perfomances, love the costumes and the Ladies are smoking hot (some of them at least. )

@BondJasonBond006, introverts like us can't pretend to be anything else. I don't think it's in our nature, considering how much we'd need to recharge after playing an extrovert all the time; I know I couldn't-and wouldn't-want to do it. When I'm around extroverts it's like they're a bunch of Dementors, sucking from me all my life and energy. They are the enemy.
  • Chalk another one up for the introvert camp. Groups and crowds shut me right down (socially, that is; presenting or performing is another matter entirely). It's strange but it seems I'm only really able to be my real self in a one-on-one setting. Maybe with two or three other people I know well at best.

    Sounds like me, a lot.

I am perfectly normal when around my four brothers-in-arms. I can talk and talk and talk, be funny and witty. I can let go and cry my heart out if needed.
One to one works outside my small circle of friends if I am attracted to someone. I never had difficulties picking up dates.

But other than that I'm a social mess. I can hardly put one decent proper sentence together. At a party with many strangers I will stand in a corner counting the dust particles on the shelves or whatever comes handy. There not even my army buddies can save me, unless we would go to a different room with no people.

I was at a New Year's Eve party as a matter of fact, it was not planned, but I dressed up and went there with my brothers-in-arms. I ended up counting crabs in the carpet, I'm just useless at such places.

Being at the keyboard is a whole different matter, I have realised here I can articulate myself and be talkative, funny and hopefully witty as well.
I can be passionate, emotional, analysing. I can discuss, argue, joke around.
I'm so glad I came here.
