    Ken Grimmwood's 1986 novel Replay

This is one of my favorite books. That it hasn't been made into a film is amazing. I heard talk of Zemeckis doing it, but it must have fallen through.

Then you caught the Dr No reference I guess too

Yes for a back-in-time tale, it was very smartly written.

Helen Mirren to Ryan Reynolds, in the new (2015) film, Woman in Gold.
"It feels like a James Bond movie, and you're Sean Connery"

The line is featured in the TV trailers.

I thought this might be relevant. WatchMojo ranked Bond as the #1 most iconic film character of all time.

    Freom "Fantômas se Déchaîne" :

Here's a few book referneces that I stumbled across.

Stephen King in Joyland (2013) references Goldfinger as a favourite film of one of his characters.

Anne Rice in her Prince Lestat (2014) refers to Lestat as the James Bond of vampires, ie very stylish and alpha.

Alan partridge is also full of bond references. Especially the episode 'never say Alan again.' He plans a big bond marathon and even acts out the opening of the spy who loved me. :)

    That was a brilliant episode!

Loved the look on Alan's face when Lyn dropped the sunny delight onto his James Bond videos!

Then the horror as Alan discovers 'Britain's Strongest Man' has been recorded over his TSWLM video!

I love the understated line, "Yeah, they're ruined!" from Partridge when that happens. :))

Here's an odd one I just came across, while watching episode #2 of "The Seventies," a CNN documentary.

Earl Silbert, a former DC district attorney, describes the five Watergate burglars as such:

"They all thought they were James Bond."

Here are a couple of 007 reference that I stumbled across recently from the worlds of Batman and Bourne
One from the famous 1960's TV series, and the other from the Bourne continuation novel series.

Batman TV series, Season 2 Episode 5, 1966.
The Minstrel played by Van Johnson, cuts into a TV broadcast with an ultimatum for
Gotham's wealthy stockholders. He says he will continue to mess with the Gotham Stock Exchange unless they each pay him $1,000 a week in bribe money.
Cheques to be made payable to account number, "zero, zero, seven" to be airmailed each week to the Broccoli Bank in Geneva Switzerland.

Clearly the Batman producers were having some fun with Cubby, whom they probably knew from Hollywood circles, raking in mucho $$$$ from Bondmania.

Or maybe a dig at Cubby hiding money in Swiss bank accounts. I have no idea, as I don't know what was topical regarding Cubby's Bond generated wealth circa 1966.

The Bourne Enigma, Jason Bourne novel by Eric Van Lustbader, 2016

Page 36, Bourne conversing with Irina, Russian agent

"Have you ever thought about dying, Bourne?"
"Every day," he said. "But I've already died once. I'm on my second life."
"What's that song? 'You Only Live Twice'?"
"Nancy Sinatra." Bourne laughed. "That's part of a life long ago and far away."
Irina finished off her champagne, reached for his untouched flute. "I want to live twice," she said.

Interesting, EVL references the song, rather than the more famous novel or movie.

He probably didn't want to make it that obvious.

    Probably.

In real life she says,"What's that James Bond movie? You Only Live Twice?"
    "Sean Connery" Bourne laughed.

    Here's another one
Arrow TV Series, Season 4, one of the early episodes, #5 or #6 (2015)

Brandon Routh as the Atom, when hearing about Hive as an evil organization, perks up and says "you mean like Spectre?!"

Spectre the movie, would have been just in release aobut the time this episode aired.

Will post exact quote, episode and air date, when I go back and check.

the series Castle has had quite a few references over the years. Such as the time where Richard was asked to write the adventures of a "very famous british secret agent". Or the time h learned that it was his father that had given him the book which made him embrace a career as a thriller writer (the book was "Casino Royale").

re Castle. Some serious homaging there from the writers.
  • In Batman Beyond, during the season one episode "Dead Man's Hand," the character King (voiced in three episodes by George Lazenby) says "We have all the time in the world" as his gang begins work on a heist.

It's more of a Roger Moore as James Bond reference, but in True Detective 2, one of the main characters, a tough as nails gangster played by Vince Vaughn, is questioning one of his employees, who he thinks may be betraying him.

The employee plays it cool and doesn't panic under questioning, leading Vaughn's character to say in frustration:

"You got this Roger Moore thing, huh? Johnny Unflappable."

In Watch Dogs 2 the main character introduces himself as Felix Leiter to one npc, when you're going on a mission to hack facebook headquarters.

The game is filled with other movie references from terminator to aliens and predator films and comics like Batman and Superman.

Cool. And the ending of the first X-Files movie just reaks of Bond ...aliens notwithstanding.
