Some exclusive information: Bond 25 will be called 'Wave Link,' because trust him, he knows. ;)

Question. I keep hearing about this Wave Link joke. What is it based on? Forgive my ignorance.

It's a long story, but we had a troll who let himself be known numerous times under countless instances with his ridiculously small-minded and bigoted views, and so we made the running joke of his assumption that the next Bond movie was entitled 'Wave Link.' Someone even made a great mock poster out of it, and we ran with the tagline being "Trust him, he knows," as in the troll being so confident that it would be given that title...for some odd, stupid reason.

Why did they change the title to Spectre? Anyone who knows?

Perhaps there is one we can trust who just knows. ;)

Cracking. Why did the humourless mods have to close it? I could have read several more pages of that.

A though I had regarding titles and this is all speculative but if the Film comes out in 2018 this would be Fleming's 110th birthday.. the last time the producers release a film around fleming's birthday (well an important one) We got Quantum of Solace... I wonder if like then we will get one based off the remaining 4 short stories

Which if true I can almost gaurentee it will be one of these two

    The Property of a Lady
    The Hildebrand Rarity

I read somewhere Michael G Wilson doesn't like the title risico (of course when he sadly passes away My bet is Greg and Babs will use it) and I don't think they will use 007 in new York... Honestly I would be fine with either of the titles above however to play it safe they may choose The Property of a Lady as they know the fans like the title and it could refer to Bond's heart being the property of Madeline Swann...

    Just a thought.

What, the 1988 Denzel film? Ah, it's been long enough. Besides, it's a line from my favorite Bond film. And I think it has a certain ring to it.

I proposed 'For Queen And Country' a long time ago, but John Boormans latest film is called 'Queen And Country', so that's out now I guess. 'The Hildebrand Rarity' still sounds like a Robert Ludlum novel to me. I suppose 'Property Of A Lady' would be best bet!

A long running comic book franchise by Greg Rucka that's already getting its film adaptation. Ellen Page is lined up to play the lead.

I've been a strong supporter of THE PROPERTY OF A LADY since...well, the Dalton era.
If B25 indeed turns out to be a continuation, then bring on THE HILDEBRAND RARITY . I'd love that! Although I could never see OO7 In NEW YORK, working, I actually could see THRILLING CITIES being a doable title (even though it sounds like a travelogue-which it is).
Then I like a few chapter titles: THE ELEGANT VENUS and SEASCAPE WITH FIGURES.
I've always been a fan of some of Gardner's work: LICENCE RENEWED, FOR SPECIAL SERVICES, ICEBREAKER, ROLE OF HONOR, SCORPIUS and BROKENCLAW were all titles I could see made into Bond films. Same with COLONEL SUN.
I can't see any of the Benson titles working. ...maybe ZERO MINUS TEN. If the film was weak the critics and fans would have a field day with that title "The new OO7 film Zero Minus 10 is a big double O zero."
I don't like any of the later novel titles at all -especially SOLO.

If the producers not going to use Hildebrand Rarity, Property of a Lady, Risico then i like to sugest:

    Bird with a wings down

I have it from a word book of Fleming named; Annotations and Chronologies for Ian Fleming's written by George Amond.

''Bird'' is british for woman/girl. ''Wings down stay'' for search a place to die.

A woman is searching for place to die... First: Reference to Vesper spirit/ghost is stil here because Bond stil haven't found peace with her death. Second: Reference to Monica Bullici return/her escape in meaning of solace.

If you whant you can see it as some kind of Quantum of Solace / Property Of Lady title.

  • Just anything without the words 'Gold', 'Kill', 'Die', any variant of those words, no sayings or proverbs, and preferably no word beginning with the letter 's'.

    So, Risico.
