I believe the title sequence begins as soon as they have a final script. It's a long process.

Also when the title track it recorded, so they have exact times to work with.

I remember seeing some interview with Kleinman where he said they cut to the music last. So basically they come up with ideas and storyboards. Then just keep expanding and animating. Then when they get music they make it fit. It's interesting.

On the bluray of SKYFALL there is a special feature about the title sequence. There is a very brief shot of a clapperboard and what looks like the date being sometime in June. Maybe someone else can make out the date. Its very quick on screen and is shot from some distance.

i hope Spectre will still be able to make over a billion due to the currency crisis internationally.

Does anyone on this forum live or is from Morocco? If anyone is please contact me by private message on this forum.
I think this would really help, so we get ready when the filming starts. So we know all the best press/celebrity newspapers in Morocco.

On this day in 2006, CASINO ROYALE, Director Martin Campbell was shooting the poker game.

You haven't been following box office news for "Furious 7" no? That movie is now confirmed the first "One Billion Dollar Movie" of 2015. And quite easily so, in part to strong showings in Latin America, Asia and the USA. But even in European markets like Germany, France and Netherlands it overperformed. In my country Netherlands it had its strongest opening ever after SF.

So, even if these European markets are suffering from a weak Euro, it doesn't really show so far with "Furious 7". And a weak European market, as you can see, can be compensated thanks to Latin America (Brazil, México, Argentina, Colombia), Asia (China especially, South Korea, Japan) and North America (USA, Canada). Oowh, and don't forget the UK, which doesn't have a Euro.

It is confirmed, when it hits that mark.
And we are still some weeks away from that.

"confirmed" instead of confirmed then ;-). Wanna bet €50 it'll pass the 1 Billion?

It can't be confirmed when it hasn't got there. Not saying it won't (though I don't think it will). It may be tracking that way, but that is an informed estimate.

Am I only one who doesn't like the Fast & Furious series? I just find it cheesy and ridiculous and really don't understand the hype. I saw a scene from the new one while doing screen checks and the acting just seems rubbish and the writing is just as bad. Sorry to all the F&F fans but that's my opinion. I know it's a film that doesn't require excellent writing but I just can't stand it.

I like Fast 5 - that's about it; but that entry was more like a dumber Ocean's Eleven

I think part of the interest over F7 is due to the untimely death of one of the stars, Paul Walker, and people wanting to see how they've dealt with it in the film, both emotionally and technically. For me, it's a film I can wait until it's available on DVD or streaming.

i don't much care for the 'fast' series either. since bond makes most of its money outside the USA, i hope the strong dollar won't prevent it from reaching a billion. this is probably why the release dates are not staggered anymore and promotional material (teaser trailer) was released at a USA friendly time.

Okay, let's keep the Fast & Furious discussion for another thread. Going off topic here.

They're popcorn flicks. They're not meant to be Oscar worthy dramatic pieces. But anyway, a conversation for a different thread.
