As I say, I just watched him for half and hour and I would say... he's not great. Maybe he's improving but his imdb isn't really filling up which doesn't inspire much confidence.
What are you basing that assumption on?
That crystal ball of yours is working overtime.
Probably partly because he seems like he could easily play a part on SAS Rogue Heroes. Knight strikes me as someone who is more in tuned with what the regular working punter is looking for, that's why he talks at length about respecting the legacy and being true to the character.
That’s a shame. The other lesser known actor I mentioned (and I think you have too) is Archie Renaux. I think there’s something interesting about him, but I’d have to see more from him too.
I think Radcliffe might stand a chance of turning out improved, that Disney play I just watched was very poor. Steven Macintosh was in it, and he's a fairly reliable actor, but was like a comedy character in it.
My favourite is probably still Aaron Pierre, as if folks are wanting alpha male and presence he just drips in it and is a ready-made film star. He does have a superhero TV show but I don't know if that would be a problem.
I thought he was very promising in Alien too, but I’d like to see more. He’s more on the younger side but I did get a confidence from him during interview clips I’ve seen of him for that film. Quite a good looking guy but with an interesting face if that makes sense. Good voice and even a bit of gravitas I found. I suppose one to keep an eye on. He makes more sense to me than many of the names I’ve seen, but we’ll see. There’d inevitably be a bit of backlash towards him (not sure of his ethnicity but I guess he’s mixed race. I can easily see him being considered though).
I find Aaron Pierre a bit too much on the hulking, Jack Reacher side (maybe better for a henchman than Bond) but he’s a pretty good actor.
I can see what you mean about preferring him in interviews. He’s quite early in his career though, so you never know. I think he’s worth keeping an eye on.

If they are only going for actors with time on their side then it has to be Ben Radcliffe. If not then it gets more complicated, but there aren't many great options out there to be fair.
Or he is the elusive “ unknown “ that so many hope for.
That speaks to the options out there at the moment, it's slim!
He's one of the first guys I've seen (especially younger) that has that Bond glint in his eye.
Based on what? You haven't seen him act yet, have you?
I'm dubious though. Bond isn't a modelling assignment.
But maybe he's better in other stuff, I'll keep an open mind.

However, it's his casting in Netflix's version of the The Age Of Innocence that has really caught my eye and led to me examining his Bond potential. It's a role that's a notch up from what he's been doing recently and requires serious acting chops. Unfortunately for Radcliffe Bond may be cast before this comes out.

Brosnan jokingly suggested him after he learned he was going to be replaced. The media ran with it for a brief period. I remember an interview with Colin Farrell being asked if he would consider the role and his response was he'd consider anything. He then hummed a few notes of the Bond theme and did a little gun pose.
