My boring trivia fact: the fella who played Sir John was one of Fleming's picks for an actor to play James Bond.
Was it his last week before retirement? Did he have a drinking problem and drop the ball at some point? Or is Sir John just a bit incompetent? Why is M so deferential to him? So many questions...
He spent hours designing the map getting his crack team to then create a place large enough for him to show the map
A more interesting question is how did Ken Adam get that approved for the film? I mean it is a flex that did not need to be in the movie
One that leaves many fans puzzled is the knife villain from New Orleans in LALD.
Who is he, and why does he go unpunished?
Obviously Bond never encounters him directly, but I feel he should be caught or killed somehow.
Not related, not exactly anyway, but I've been wanting to write a fanfic with the villains who escaped death in a Bond movie teaming up to take revenge on him. Like Irma Bunt, Koskov, Nic Nac. Thanks for adding a, well not a name, but another person to the list.
Is he your friend, or does the nature of the mutual friendship potentially relax any other perspective he might have of you. Otherwise, probably not.
I don't know how close he is to my friend. They are not from the same generation, so it's unlikely they're like childhood buddies or they met at uni. But DV has 3.4K friends, so it's not like he'll notice one more Bond fan among them.
Not when I'm sober.
Haha, fair!
Judy Geeson is often listed on the cast of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but I've never been able to spot her in the film. Can anyone help me??
Here is a photo of Judy:

And here's one of Anouska Hempel, the only Angel of Death that seems to resemble her in any way:

Is it possible someone just got the two mixed up, once upon a time, and the error has just persisted? Or is she really in OHMSS somewhere??
I don't believe she is, no.
I think you're right. In the script, it mentions that LeChiffre "knows his answer is wrong. He doesn't give a damn."
He's asking her to call off the launch of the submarines. Instead of saying that she says dive, But Bond shoots her, why? It's not like the submarine was ready to fire anyway, it was still docked. Why didn't Bond just knock her out?
Because Bond had very strong emotions for Elektra and then warned her to call it off. Bond got caught up in his emotions.
And it said in the script that’s what he should do ;)
Because he has a license to kill.
If you listen she was about to say his name and warn Renard that Bond was coming.
I believe she says "Dive Bo..." no did or would have Renard hear the gunshot? Not sure but because her message never got through Renard and his small group of men were not expecting Bond on the sub.
I always understood they can get close to the target without raising suspicion. They don't even know they're going to commit bioterrorism.
You beat me to it. I don't even think their presence would be flagged at customs. It's far less risky than a man with a criminal case or with fake IDs, looking every bit like a thug, in any case.
