Ah! No, I had a thought. I checked the stereo audio track, and it was gone. Must've been something to do with the 5.1 track.

Gets a bit echo-y when you're talking down the barrel of a gun.

In Thunderball, SPECTRE gives the British government 7 days to pay up or they will destroy a major city. But when M is giving Bond his assignment in his office he says "we only got 4 days 007. Don't spend your time sitting around". So which is it? Does the British government have 4 days or 7 days to pay up?

Bit of a delay unfortunately as Sir John spent three days conducting extensive searches trying to find the plane. Luckily he was able to give his in-depth report to the room, as well as everyone who could see through the very large window.

Ha! I think he spent a couple of those days having his enormous map drawn up too, wanted to impress the minister.

My boring trivia fact: the fella who played Sir John was one of Fleming's picks for an actor to play James Bond.

The more I think about Sir John the more I'm curious about him. The man supposedly found absolutely nothing. Not a trace of evidence or even a faint idea of where the plane could possibly have gone down (I mean, even a guess or theory that it'd wound up in the ocean would have sufficed). He doesn't even blink when giving his useless report to the rest of the 00s.

Was it his last week before retirement? Did he have a drinking problem and drop the ball at some point? Or is Sir John just a bit incompetent? Why is M so deferential to him? So many questions...

I view Sir John as a typical pencil pusher for the government

He spent hours designing the map getting his crack team to then create a place large enough for him to show the map

A more interesting question is how did Ken Adam get that approved for the film? I mean it is a flex that did not need to be in the movie

There are so many unanswered questions in the Bond series.
One that leaves many fans puzzled is the knife villain from New Orleans in LALD.
Who is he, and why does he go unpunished?
Obviously Bond never encounters him directly, but I feel he should be caught or killed somehow.

Not related, not exactly anyway, but I've been wanting to write a fanfic with the villains who escaped death in a Bond movie teaming up to take revenge on him. Like Irma Bunt, Koskov, Nic Nac. Thanks for adding a, well not a name, but another person to the list.

Not sure if my question is right for this thread, but here it is: Facebook keeps giving me Denis Villeneuve as a friend suggestion, as he's actually a friend of a friend. I am fairly sure then profile is genuine. Question is: should I try to add him as a friend?

Is he your friend, or does the nature of the mutual friendship potentially relax any other perspective he might have of you. Otherwise, probably not.

I don't know how close he is to my friend. They are not from the same generation, so it's unlikely they're like childhood buddies or they met at uni. But DV has 3.4K friends, so it's not like he'll notice one more Bond fan among them.

Probably wouldn't be worth it except to say you're Facebook friends with Villeneuve, if he even accepts. I don't get the sense you're going to be messaging him asking for updates about the next Bond film whatever way ;)

Time for another extremely obscure question about an early Bond film:
Judy Geeson is often listed on the cast of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but I've never been able to spot her in the film. Can anyone help me??

Here is a photo of Judy:

And here's one of Anouska Hempel, the only Angel of Death that seems to resemble her in any way:

Is it possible someone just got the two mixed up, once upon a time, and the error has just persisted? Or is she really in OHMSS somewhere??
