My thoughts on the trailer i am so excited
As most of what we've seen of First Light here would have (theoretically) been developed while the property was still under EON's creative control, it's possible all bets are off now. I suspect our questions will all be answered soon enough!
Why are we overdue if i may ask
It probably would have been welcomed without too much controversy ten years ago, but in today’s climate it feels like the discourse would only get toxic and distract from the filmmakers just trying to deliver a cracking film.
I wonder if he gets the scar from the mountain climbing accident that resulted in the death of his parents.
It looks like they’re going for a more timeless angle where it’s a mix of contemporary and mid 20th century aesthetics, sort of like how BATMAN TAS was blending the modern world with 1930s aesthetics.
I like how they pull out element from the book like the scar. But change the ethnicity of Monypenny from the book or give Bond a PPK instead of a Beretta for his first (?) mission ?
You apparently can throw gun at ennemies.
I think I'm gonna buy a Serie X just for it.
Game looks pretty cool to me, it's gonna be a fun 2026 for old school gamers!
Does the new IO game suggest what direction Amazon could be headed in the next era of the films.
It could be. But I can't remember any member outrightly saying, he doesn't want a breezy Bond film. What I understand is, most of us want the balance right. That's why TLD & GE keeps popping up in discussions when we talk about getting the tone balanced. Not too light, not too dark.
It certainly doesn’t look braindead like DAD, thankfully.
Yes. You could definitely throw CR in there too. Also, since Bond died in the last film, surely Bond 26 is going to be a triumphant roar.
Yeah, or worse, the last 2 films.
I would certainly hope so. If they mess this up they aren't going to get a second chance, we saw already how sceptical people were when the deal was announced.
If that's the case...a whole bunch of my anxiety about the future of the Bond films has disappeared. This looks like a definitive piece of Bond media, nevermind video games.
You can say what you want of SP and NTTD, but they’re no where near as embarrassing and cringe as DAD. It was so bad that instead of giving Brosnan a fifth film to redeem his tenure, Eon rightfully dismissed him.
I would argue that next to none of what makes DAD a disaster is on Brosnan's shoulders. He's trying with atrocious material even though it's blatantly not the movie he would've chosen to make.
Well, they were awful films, so it's only stating the obvious really.
Sure, other than the box office of DAD. I'm not exactly sure what more he was supposed to do?
Obviously I approve of the direction and decision that EON went in, but I find it really unfair to pin Brosnan's dismissal on, well...Brosnan. But we're getting way off track here. The game looks incredible.
Be a better actor, of course.
He's a great actor and his biggest "sin" as Bond is that for the first time it felt like the actor playing Bond was retracing steps of previous actors in his interpretation.
I look back at some of the remarks I made about Brosnan when I was ~18 with embarrassment. I find the notion that he's a bad actor nonsensical.
