With that said, I hope they give ballads a rest, at least for the next film; a song like this, one with an aggressive sound, would be welcome.
You don’t say? :p
Yes, something edgier like Live and Let Die or You Know My Name would be nice for a change and perfect to introduce a new Bond actor.
It's from "Mean Girls", but don't let that put you off
I'm not a fan of vibrato style singing either
But I think this song certainly derives from JB musical cues and is rather good
"Someone Gets Hurt" written by Nell Benjamin & Jeffrey Richmond and performed by Renee Rapp. It has a suitable title for a Bond song too.
The lyrics suggest a plot scenario involving a female villain who's romantic advances are rejected by Bond, adding a personal revenge motive.
Could fit in with a film titled "Property Of A Lady" or "Shamelady".

I like it!
Gunbarrel with a LALD/FRWL dance and uprising moon
DR No but boxes with smart lyrics. ''Eyes on the screen waiting forever'' possible every Bondfan feel when NTTD be released and feel again when Bond 26 be in cinema's.
Has more 60-70 vibe.
Back to earth (FYEO)
Lolly Jane Blue:
From 2010. Looks very inspyred by The world is not enough videoclip with Alice in Wonderland vibe (No Time to Die also has some Alice in Wonderland reference), some nude. Directed by Dutch directer / Dop.
Love Armatrading theme from 'The Wild Geese', ( love the film too!)
She would indeed have been a good choice to do a Bond theme!
Yes, I really like that song. It's so good and she sings it beautifully. Hopefully she still has a chance to do a Bond theme in the future. :)
Not only "Goldfinger", "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Moonraker", but also her unused Thunderball offering "Mr Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang" and a couple of songs for the Bond spoof "The Liquidator" (the title song and the end theme, "My Liquidator").
Yesterday I uncovered another nugget of 24 karat gold (or a 10 carat diamond).
"Dangerous Games" was written by Glen Mason and Keith 'Sonny' Miller according to the internet. Mason may or may not have been a Scottish singer who had career on the fringes of show business, in recording, radio, TV and even a few movies.
Anyhoo, I first came across the song as part of the soundtrack to a Eurospy movie called "OK Yevtushenko" (aka "Somebody's Stolen Our Russian Spy"), which was made in 1967 but not thought good enough for theatrical release, eventually turning up on television 1976.
Then I discovered, via Youtube, that Shirley Bassey had also recorded a verison of it in 1967 and released it as the B side of (Hey) "Big Spender".
I think it's pure dynamite...
The slide show that goes with it indicates that others have already recognised its Bond potential
"He Kills Everything (You Love)" was written by Chris Weller, Curt Cress, and Peter Bischof-Fallenstein in 1996. It was featured as the theme music for the German TV series "Die Gang"
The video presentaion for this one is even more impressive than the previous one
I know it's by Fat Steven, but give it a chance, I think the sentiment is spot on
"Would you feel the same
If I was invisible, untouchable
Would you call my name
If you no longer see my face
I won't be far away
I’ll be in your ocean
I'll live in the sky
I'll be here forever, don’t you cry
There's no separation
Between you and I
I'll be here forever don't you cry"
Nice song. Do I find myself becoming a musical fan of Steven Seagal?
One wonders.
