Definitely TSWLM, always a favorite. I am not that keen on TB anyway.

I really like TB but Spy wins for me. That parachute jump is just :o

Oh my this is hard. TB is easily one of my favourites, and certainly one of the best Connery Bonds.
But TSWLM was my first experience of Bond, and therefore has that special place in my heart, as the Bond film that started my fandom.
It pains me to do this but
    Thunderball

Damn... Spy or Thunderball... I have to pick either the best Connery film, or the best Moore film... This is a tough one, so I'll have to think and get back with an answer.

Spy was my first Bond film period, it was on the big screen back in 1977 but TB for me is the superior film, Connery on fine form and a cracking score from Barry.

Ah, this is a bit harder. I like TB, but don't rate it as Connery's best, it does flag at times, something you can't say about Spy. Also having bunked off school to see Spy on the big screen in Plymouth's Drake cinema (back then it was a huge screen, not like the screens you get in the multiplex) and seeing it another two times throughout the summer hols it became, at the time, my favourite - having aged I now find quite a bit wrong with it, but still think XXX is quite a good Bond girl and damned good to look at! So, TB or Spy, mmm…TB's still got the best Bond girls ever, Spy's more of a romp, if Jaws had died at the end (as originally intended) it would have been even better.
Thunderball…today, might be a different answer tomorrow!

    Thunderball without hesitation.

Connery on top form, Largo, the spectre meeting, the best Bond girl ever in Fiona, the gorgeous Bahamas, the boat ride into the casino, Tom Jones, Barry's score, Db5, jetpack. Thunderball was and is Bondmania!

Thunderball easily. Connery in fine form, a great villain in Largo and villainess in Volpe. A cracking Bond girl, great locales, and Barry's excellent music.

Well, I've decided, and the better climax sequence takes the cake for me. TSWLM wins with the big gunfight onboard the Liparus.

Thunderball- TSWLM is solid too, but TB has Connery on top form, great villians and bond girls and Terrance young.

TB vs. TSWLM. The two wet-n'-wild ones.

Definitely TB for me. Connery at the peak of his form, Terence Young's stylish direction, John Barry music and the best gang of Bond girls to appear in a single Bond film easily cinch its victory IMHO.

I really don't know. TB is a really amazing film, but TSWLM's finale is incredibly addictive, along with the Egypt scenes being very entertaining. I'll have to think about it for a while.

I don't know. I love TB, it's my favourite Connery but Spy it's one of the most mythical Bond films. If I had to choose, I would pick up TB ( sorry Sir Roger!) just because of the beautiful Luciana Paluzzi.

James Bond at his zenith. Thunderball.

TSWLM easily, I don't care what anybody says, it's just a better film!!
  • TSWLM So much fun. Both Bonds are completely comfortable in the role, both films have many of the same Bond team crafting them with assurance and style, but I just sense that Spy has that little bit more sparkle to it.

TB is currently 9th in my ranking*, TSWLM is 10th. So TB it is.

*I've seen up to GE in my 2012 Bondathon, so those places could change soon.

    Thunderball

Though I think TSWLM is a fun movie it's too much of a xerox of 1967’s Connery era epic YOLT and a medley of past glories for me to consider it above TB.

I've decided, and I think I'm finally going to pick TB. It's a tough one to beat, and as enjoyable as TSWLM is, TB takes the win for me.

This one's close. They are both the best of what I call the "spectacle" Bonds. Still, judging it on that front, TSWLM gets my vote.

Great match up! Will go with Thunderball!

Tunderball. Sure, the underwater fight scene drags on and on, but this much will always be true: Connery > Moore.
