    A nice one @ToTheRight! :D

Keeping my fingers crossed that your DVD arrives in short order and is playable (I think that was one of Lana Turner's final films at MGM).

I believe so. The Blu-ray is long OOP so I opted for this all region DVD. We'll see. It's one film I've been wanting to see anyway.

.......and one more Lana Turner movie to add to my library. 1974's THE GRAVEYARD a.k.a. PERSECUTION.

Plays like an Amicus or Hammer horror and co stars Hammer alumni Ralph Bates and Suzan Farmer. That alone would make me add to my movie collection.

Should arrive in my mailbox in a couple weeks. :)

Wow I am a huge fan of Hitchcock and Vertigo, I have not seen that print before, its as psychedelic as Jimmy Stewarts dream sequences.

This print and its blue variant were available to purchase last week at Madduckposters and sold out very quickly. A few copies are already listed on eBay for more than double the original price.

That is often the case with high quality limited editions, some will make money off such items.

I splurged on DVDs today. First, Let's Dance, the Fred Astaire / Betty Hutton musical :

    letsDance.png

Difficult to get by, this one. I had to buy it from a web store, and the disc and the jacket arrived spearately, but no clamshell box. Thankfully, I had one, so no harm done.

And this afternoon, I took advantage of a promotion to buy these two movies :

    Plus that soundtrack :

Just found this still sealed for £3 in a charity shop, though when I got home it occurred to me I may already have the card box version of this season in storage... oh well :)) gives me a good excuse to watch it again.

The new botched Dolby sound mix on this abomination is even worse than I could have imagined. I do have a fondness for this bad film, the picture has never looked better to be fair it was worth the purchase for the remaster.

So I took a chance and ordered this LANA TURNER movie online............

It is sold on a website I'm not too familiar with, but they seemed to have several rare and OOP titles.
Should arrive within the month. I do hope this was legit as it's a film I'm eager to see.
If this goes accordingly, they have a few other rare titles I want.

I hope things work out @ToTheRight. There are a lot of familiar names in that cast, including Natalie "Lovey" Schafer. :))

Trying to complete my Fred Astaire collection :

    AIA7d4cqE-twK58E5x2ebXgk8TkYLeEBx_QRl3HKJbe9bP2-zkveZRorpSUd1O2nKYJfSMQ34rom-NelCulfiRrbkLhU5KZN5JKvt4ME0Ug78w9IyuDzwSfHPmnePyTKPunXSsURAT3Zd1UMJyN4NEhCcE7h2gzJEOwL8fEdBPg8B2YvyvZvV3RtRD2vIzifGJWLDAigMAMc3w=s512-rw-pd-pc0x00ffffff

But some of them are going to be tougher to find than expected, such as The Pleasure of his Company, for example (seems that one exists only on a pirated version of disputable quality).

Regarding your profile name, Hitch certainly made the Proto Bond film with classics like The Foreign Correspondent and North by Northwest.

Since that DVD copy of MARRIAGE IS A PRIVATE AFFAIR was a success, I ordered another Lana Turner movie from the same website. A rarity from 1940 called WE WHO ARE YOUNG.

I also bought a spare copy of this one today..............

    91wcx31DIJL._SL1500_.jpg

The Bond Blu-ray set my dearly departed girlfriend gave me gets a lot of usage, so I've been kind of preserving it and watching my spare copies lately. This one I didn't have a back up of.

I have decided to buy the rest of the Fred Astaire movies, and the first one came yesterday :

    61F9bBHIeRL._AC_UF894,1000_QL80_.jpg

Region 1, so I'll have to use my old region free DVD player, but it has a french soundtrack (even if I'm not going to use it) and french subtitles (which I'm going to use).
