A sure sign of villainy in the Fleming novels and stories.

Exactly. Bond knowing the villain by that. Very Fleming, for sure.

Good one. Relates to fine sources.

No Brosnan thanks. But Dalton could be a great one film only Bond to tie us over until a suitable younger actor can be found.

The Man Who is Only a Silhouette.

(From the Moonraker novel. It might be a good title for introducing a new Bond actor after the NTTD ending and the tidying up of the Craig Bond era).

Great minds. I suggested that too a while back.

Maybe something like Only A Silhouette or The Silhouette Man.

I can't see Eon going with that long a title anymore. But then again, Quantum of Solace. That Eon used that title is even more shocking than using Octopussy.

Yes, it's been my username (Silhouette Man) at another Bond forum for close to twenty years. I've always loved that end passage from Moonraker. It's also my favourite Bond novel. I agree that long titles seem to be out now (TMWTGG was an exception as a Fleming novel title) and FAVTAK of course became AVTAK so that it could fit on the billboards better!

My problem with this hook with either Dalton or Brosnan is that NTTD already used it.

I suppose OAP Bond is still available, should anyone ever want to see that. More 0070 than 007.

Nice. From ancient Rome, I think. Also, the title of Depeche Mode's upcoming album. The Christopher Nolan collection as well.
