Not seen this one though I was a big fan of films like Meals on Wheels and Project A etc when I was a kid. Jackie, Sammo and Yuan made some great movies, they went through some grueling training at Chinese Opera school.

Well i've been on a Cyntia Rothrock kick lately, figured it was about time to start digging into her 80's HK films.

The stuff that Jackie Chan was doing back in the day was unbelievable.

I first became aware of Cynthia Rothrock from China O'brian co starring Richard Norton, admittedly there are a lot of her films I have not seen.

I only saw that (and it's sequel) for the first time recently. I had seen a few of her films years ago, such as Police Assassin's (which unfortunately is quite hard to get for a reasonable price these days).

As kid and teenager I rented most of the Golden Harvest etc martial arts movies on VHS and bought quite a few on that format. DVD and Bluray I don't have that many other than some well known Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee films, i also have several of Chuck Norris films on DVD. I would imagine that rarer titles people will likely bump up the price.

You find that. Once titles go out of print, they become collectors items. Most, if not all, of the Paul Naschy titles I have on DVD fall into that category. I have gotten into a few bidding wars, and have had to decide when to cut my losses and walk away. Thankfully, I have not had to pay an outrageous sum on any of them.

I paid a pretty penny to get Hell Night on DVD, just because of how rare it was, all for Shout! Factory to give me a blu-ray version of it a few years later.

At least it was a few years. Imagine if it was only weeks later.

There's a running joke amongst some who favor the Criterion Collection that if you want to see any particular DVD get a blu-ray/4K upgrade, someone has to go out of their way to spend a stupid amount on eBay for it. Only then will it be announced the following month as a reasonably priced upgrade.

Replaced my copy as I had given it to my Dad, who'd only seen the film once and wanted to watch it again.

I still only have this purchased on digital, I am still undecided which Disk version of the film to get, I may treat myself to the film on disk at Christmas.

I bought the BluRay 4K two pack, meant to buy the DVD BluRay pack. Gave the 4K disc to a friend (with the case) and I have the BluRay tucked into a sleeve.

I regret not getting the steelbook; I hope they release a better looking one one day.

I bet this one looks incredible on 4K. I didn't buy it myself but I did really love the film.

The last 30 minutes does turn into a Mission Impossible movie 😂 though its a lot of fun. I immediately watched the end again as soon as the film finished, the IMAX sequences look amazing.

    24 November 2022.:
Soundtrack CD: David Newman - Anastasia (1997) € 3,00. Only 4 from first 16 tracks are score tracks. Turn out to be Belgium edition because it include bonus 17th track in Dutch by original Belgium dubbing voice of Anastasia. Funny is that original Dutch dubbing voice is done by another but in The Netherlands more fames Belgium artist.

    Today:
BD: Me Before You (2916) € 0,50 (New)

I saw it many years ago, and loved it back then. Haven t gotten around to seeing it again yet. Have so much other stuff to go through. Not just movies, but books, comics, and a regular life besides.
It s a thriller with an original angle. Great performances, and a neat twist.

I found this whilst browsing in a gaming store, its a nice edition. Not sure why I did not purchase this when it was originally released, I was probably holding out for the Bond50 Bluray set at the time.

The entire James Bond series on DVD, via the “007: The ‘XXX’ Collection” line that packages each actor’s films together. After extensive research how I should get all the films for the most economical and organized way possible on DVD, this method by far stood out as the best. All the older Bond DVD collections, as far as I saw, came out in bizarre, non-chronological groupings (the first I ever had was the different colored boxes that for instance had golden-colored Volume 1, containing GF, DAF, TMWTGG, TLD, and TWINE). Just a few tiny niggles with this new set:

-Bizarrely enough, there is a continuity error in that the very first set, The Sean Connery Collection Volume 1, is the only one without “007” numbered on the spine, while all the others include it.
-REALLY small one, but there’s no way to order them perfectly chronologically, as Lazenby’s solo DVD has to come after Connery’s second volume, which starts with TB and ends with DAF.
-There were at least three different versions of “The Daniel Craig Collection,” one with just the first three films, then the first four, and finally the one with all 5 which is obviously what I went with. Though awesome, this set has a different colored spine than the others, and also lacks the names of the movies included on the spine or top like the other boxes have. Perhaps not enough space? The back cover is also different, and the discs for SP and NTTD are the only two of the 25 to not have the unified disc look. One more thing is that it is titled as “…5-Film Collection,” and is the only one of the sets to include the number of films. My guess is this way done to differentiate from the previous Craig sets.
-Not quite sure why MR was placed on Moore’s second volume instead of the first, which IMO would have made way more sense, as it: ends the 70s films, has the continuity with TSWLM with Jaws, and plus the latter 3 Moore films are all directed by John Glen.

Overall, this is the best way to own all the movies on DVD if you want it to look the best and most condensed possible on a shelf. I’m still very pleased overall as the boxes all have nice, modern-looking art and overall terrific unity. There was no point waiting for a complete box set at this point, especially since DVD-wise, I don’t even know if EON ever released a full collection in the States before. But yes, very happy to have these! Recommended!
