It wouldve been Lesley Gores bday too on May 2nd

Every year since I was in college, I wish Bruce a happy birthday on Facebook and he does the same for me a few days later. My birthday was yesterday and he reached out yet again, even in his old age. Nothing like having a Bond henchman send you birthday greetings. It's surreal.

If only I had known, I would congratulate you. You were born on the same date as the Graf Zeppelin disaster in 1937. Too late now. Spilled milk under the bridge and all that.

There's always next time (provided the world's still spinning, of course).

On this day, 100 years ago, we were blessed with an amazing human being. He had many claims to fame, acting being the most well known. I’m talking about Sir Christopher Lee. I’ll keep it short and sweet about how we should honor this man and his unique life. I’m happy that he is still being talked about after his death. Very few people are as talented as he was, and he deserves honor for what would have been his 100th birthday. Happy birthday Sir Christopher Lee, you are loved and missed by many.

I just recently saw The Ninth Configuration for the first time. A really wild film with some very successful components—Keach's performance chief among them.

The Ninth Configuration is one of my favourites; along with The Squeeze and Road Games. It is one of those films which is nigh on impossible to put into one box. There's comedy, drama, horror and psychological elements in there.

    Which one, @MajorDSmythe?

Edit: Sorry, logic dictates that you are talking about the one with Stacey K. ;) My mistake!

Happy 80th Birthday to Sir Paul McCartney!!!!

There will come a day when Paul, Ringo, Mick, Keith, Bob, Brian, Paul S., Elton and Stevie (Wonder) are no longer with us. A frightening prospect, but an inevitable one, as they are not immortal. For more than half a century (let that sink in for a second…a half a century), Paul and company have given us more music and more joy than we’ve had any right to expect. Despite that, it is all too easy to take them and their talents for granted. Let’s not do that!

If you think ranking all of the Bond movies is difficult, doing the same for Paul’s catalog is next to impossible (And I won’t include that band he was in during the 1960s – you know the won that may have had a hit record or two!!!). Today, my list looks like this (tomorrow it could be something different):
    1. Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (2005)
    2. Band on the Run (1973)
    3. Tug of War (1982)
    4. Flaming Pie (1997)
    5. Ram (1971)
    6. Electric Augments (2008) – as “The Fireman”
    7. Flowers in the Dirt (1989)
    8. Egypt Station (2018)
    9. Memory Almost Full (2007)
    10. Venus and Mars (1975)

And as for “a” song, I’ll offer up “MULL OF KINTYRE”

♫…Far have I travelled and much have I seen
Dark distant mountains with valleys of green
Past painted deserts, the sun sets on fire
As he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre…♫

    Rock on Paul. Rock on!!!
