Well, I like to say I am Christian. Period. :) I grew up in the Presbyterian Church and I do hold with the beliefs I have learned there over the years. But I still prefer to say Christian; that is more meaningful for me. I now attend a local Japanese Swedish Covenant Church (founded by Swedish missionaries about 80 years ago). The church I worship in has held Christian services for about 300 years, through many years of persecution of Christians. That is very thought provoking and interesting to me. There is a carved stone lantern more than 250 years old that has vague Christian symbols on it, along with other old artifacts. I have worshipped in many kinds of churches, but more importantly to me, I pray every day. It is personal, my faith. But I am sure you know, faith is more than 4 walls and a doctrine; it is a personal truth, a personal relationship with God. At least, that is how I stand in regards to my faith.

You are exactly right, it is a personal relationship with God, not just attending the building itself and agreeing with the Bible. As you know, we can agree with it all day long and attend every service, but if not put into practice and shown to others, it isn't any good.
