The one thing I preferred in the theatrical cut of JL was the beginning. The Batman scene there was awesome.

Ugh! That was awful.Thank god Snyder didnt use that Whedon shot crap. For some reason Whedon put that in there as a subplot for Batman using a sonic signal to draw the Parademons after him at the films climax. The fx are clearly not finished and not only does Batman let the thief get away with all the loot he stole,he actually says '' Alfred '' in front of him nearly blowing his secret identity.

I didnt really notice that Wayne doesnt suit up as Batman until two hours into the Snyder Cut.Afflecks Bruce Wayne is every bit as interesting as Batman in my opinion and the film needs to focus on introducing the other members of the team since we were introduced to Batfleck in the previous movie.

And as he says to Cyborg in the movie '' Im real when i have to be ''.

It was amusing I laughed a few times, though I still think the film is awesome.

The honest trailers are meant to give us a few laughs but some people have actually sent me some of their videos as "proof" of how bad a certain film is.

I think that one points out a few fun little points, like the repetitive nature of and massive redundancy of most of the SWolf/Darkseid scenes.

You could easily cut those communications to two scenes: One where Steppenwolf expresses his intentions to be under Darkseid’s good graces, and one where he explains that he found the anti-life equation (unless you cut that out entirely).

I certainly would cut it out as I found the Anti-life to be have no relevance to the film and hard to remember what it even was.

I know I've said that already: but hey- it's a Snyder thread. It's all about repeating the same scenes over and over ;)

Well its nit just Wegothiscovered. The Rock has been pretty vocal about how he enjoyed The Snyder Cut and wants that universe to continue. He also shares the same agent as Henry Cavill so no doubt there have been some conversations between the two.

I actually think this is a good move on DC's part. I never saw these working - yet anyway.

Specifically The Trench. That just felt like the studio enjoying those Aquaman dollar signs. New Gods they could incorporate into future movies.

The universe is continuing, it’s called the DCEU.

    4K HDR IMAX 1.43:1 • Batman's Nightmare Scene - BvS ᴬᵗᵐᵒˢ

My copy is preordered the extra information in the frame is stunning, though i was disappointment right at the end when the letter box frame appeared. i was hoping the entire movie would be in 1.43:1. I need to look into this.

Yeah only certain scenes were shot in IMAX while most of the film was shot with anamorphic lenses. This is why he opted to shoot JL in full frame Super 35 so that the whole movie could be presented in 1:33 for IMAX screens.

I assume the new disc will actually switch between 1:43 and 2:35 much better than the way the YouTube clip presents because on a 16:9 screen the anamorphic shots would not look so picture boxed.

I did not look into it prior to ordering, the disk is only £20 as a fan of the film it will still be worth it for me. I can hazard a guess at which scenes will be in 1.43:1.

It shouldn’t be any different than how blu-rays of Nolan’s films switched aspect ratios between scenes. Only difference is that Snyder is presenting the full IMAX footage rather than cropping it for 16:9 screens like Nolan does.

I saw a review on youtube that stated only the Knightmare sequence and the Batman/Superman fight are the only scenes presented in Imax ratio.

Really, in that case I may cancel my order I already have numerous versions of the film... one in 4K. I could just watch those scenes on YouTube. Those scenes are not enough for me to warrant the purchase.

Will check out some online reviews later.

Oh right; I've only just worked out what that is :D I thought they'd put another one out but I couldn't understand the gag about it being the best movie ever!

Ah yes, Honest Trailers from Screen Junkies. The youtube studio that threw its creator Andy Signore under a bus when allegations were made about him.Allegations that he later PROVED that were false and he came back and created his own youtube channel Popcorned Planet. They continue to make Honest Trailers based on his idea that they give him no credit for and never bothered to apologise to him.

They also are very well known for being anti-DC and shill for Disney and Marvel.

It’s also massive conspiracy that Marvel makes their films consistently good enough to earn the good will of its audience because they actually did the hard work with building up characters before doing the big team up movie.

On that point, I don't know really. I think it is possible to do a superhero team movie without having to introduce them all separately, and Avengers Assemble was preceded only by Thor, Iron Man and Captain America movies (Hulk had one, but with a different lead actor); whereas Justice League had been preceded by movies featuring that version of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. So really not all that massively different. I guess Black Widow had first appeared in Iron Man 2, but honestly: how many films with an ensemble have you seen? Did Scotty need to have his own movie before he teamed up with Captain Kirk?
So I don't buy that they all had to have their own film first (especially when you're dealing with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman: these are more generally well-known than any of the Marvel characters in Avengers were) I just think this particular film had issues in how it handled it.

I was surprised that after four hours I didn't really feel I knew Cyborg or Flash any better. Aquaman is a bit of an archetype and quite well-acted, so he sort of lands despite still barely getting filled out as a character. Let's have another scene where Steppenwolf tells us how he's getting on instead :D

    There is no denying they went truly backwards with their approach but let's look at their track record recently;

    Cyborg
3 different versions of The Flash solo
    New Gods
    The Trench
    Nightwing
Justice League Dark by Del Toro
    Gareth Evans’ Deathstroke
Suicide Squad 2 by Gavin O’Connor
Christopher McQuarrie's Man of Steel 2
    Antoine Fuqua's Deadshot
    Justice League 2 & 3
    Harley Quinn vs The Joker
    Joker with Jared Leto
    Gotham City Sirens
    Green Lantern Corp

Most of these were canceled because of "creative differences." Seems to me that the common denominator here in these scenarios isn't the hired talent. WB has no idea what they want, they have no plan, no scope, no vision. They literally just blatantly copy Marvel or go with the 'Throw everything against the wall and see what sticks' approach. Both are truly awful approaches.

They should have just stuck to the same universe and same actors and adapted, take the characters that worked and go from there. Starting from scratch is ridiculously dumb. Just because they viewed Snyder's films as subpar or flops doesnt mean that everything should be erased... Wonder Woman's success from her first film is proof of that. Plus, you didn't see Marvel shy away after the likes of Ultron, Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 - they kept to the plan.

Christopher McQuarrie was going to make Man of Steel 2? I've not heard that before- that's a crying shame.
