Call Of Duty: Cold War - MP & Zombies have been running fine for me. The only issues I have had so far, have been in the Campaign, during cutscenes the game lags, then speeds up to catch up to where it should be.

So far the only good thing is zombies.

I've been enjoying the MP, even though it's absolutely packed with bugs and issues.

I have been playing MP, and the issues are getting better. There was just a 5GB update on PC, which seems to have helped.

    Good.

I've also been playing Demon's Souls - first time player here, it's really kicking my ass but damn, is it satisfying and very rewarding once you get past a particular section or boss that seems impossible. Just defeated the Tower Knight without needing to take out his archers. Such a pain but it's done.

    Blacksad: Under The Skin
An anthropomorphic noir set in 1950's LA. I knew nothing about the source material. I saw preview images, and kept this game on my radar, buying it on release last year. Decided to give it a go today. Controls are very clunky, but I would be lying if I said that I wasn't being won over by this games atmosphere.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on Playstation 5.

Just finished the single player. Throughly enjoyed it. Much more like the original Black Ops. As for the ending...
I picked the Lie option, to see what would happen. Yep, you can kill your entire team and nuke the free world into oblivion. Did not expect to be able to do that. [\spoiler]

The graphics are nice enough but not really “next-gen”. Much like how Ghosts was to Advanced Warfare on PS4, I expect the 2021 COD to be a significant graphics leap.

This game comes with Ray Tracing "next gen" for the pc but you need very expensive hardware for it.

@007InAction Ray Tracing doesnt do much for me yet.

Spider Man Miles Morales is far better at 60fps without it, than 30fps with it.

The pc trailer looks good with Ray Tracing but you need a $5000 pc to run it,ouch.....

    Hitman 2
Getting in a little practce ready for Hitman 3. Played the Miami location, killing Sierra by lethal poisoning the trophy cup, and Robert by emetic poisoning his eye drops, then drowning him in the toilet.

I don't know if there are any other Rageaholics on the forum, but Razor and T-Boogie recently did their first Bond stream (not counting Razors recation to the NTTD 007 rumour), and it was FRWL. While watching, I felt nostalgic, so I have unboxed my PS2 and have been playing FRWL myself.

It's a great game, Major. We are blessed to have one with both Sean's voice and likeness.

It's slightly jarring hearing 75 yr old Connery's voice coming from a 33 yr old Connery. Otherwise, it's a fun game, running around as prime Connery, shooting grenades off enemies belts. Good clean sadistic fun. Also, I wish more Bond games allowed us to change Bonds clothing. Not a deal breaker, but a nice feature nonetheless.

I beat Demon's Souls on the PS5 last week, my very first full playthrough of any Souls game, and I had a blast with it, even nabbing the Platinum Trophy in the process. That game was pretty hard at times, frustratingly so, but incredibly rewarding.

Finished Astro's Playroom on PS5, fun little distraction. Currently playing a bit of Celeste on the Xbox One (Gamepass is great for trying out smaller indie games I wouldn't normally purchase)

    That is about it.

Playing Just Cause 4 (via backwards compatibility on PS5) as it is on Playstation Plus this month. Not liking it too much so far, but have only played an hour.

Other than that, about to finish Spider Man Miles Morales, and work through my trophy clear up of COD Black Ops Cold War and Bugsnax.

Have Borderlands 3 to get into over the upcoming xmas break.

Was interested in Cyberpunk 2077 but by most accounts the game doesnt run great on PS4 (even via PS5), is buggy and intentionally induces seizures. So I’ll wait for a proper PS5 version that has been fixed and is safe to play.

Great game, it gets too much slack from the fandom. Too many people trying to discredit it for the things it doesn't do much of rather than give it some love for the MANY things it improves.

It has lots of improvements but at its core, it feels nothing like a proper Hitman title. I remember on release, I was incredibly bummed out that it had ditched the sandbox feel and shifted to a "find the next door" game. But yes, lots of improvements, some that should've carried into this new era of the series.

Like I said before, it's a fun stealthy shooter but a poor Hitman installment.
  • Recently bought the “Perfect Dark” remaster for Xbox 360/One; as a game I’ve never gotten into, I’m having lots of fun with it, specifically the multiplayer. The only thing is it just makes me wish that Goldeneye XBLA port actually happened :(

What a game. The amount of memories I have playing this with my best friend as a kid on the N64 - those were the days. I remember never being able to beat that final mission as a kid, but I picked up the remaster many years back on the 360 and finally accomplished it. Felt incredible.

I’ve only completed the first level of the game so far, so I have to keep going with it. I’m playing it alongside Goldeneye Reloaded so I’ve been splitting my time between each game. I’m really enjoying the multiplayer. I like the incorporation of Bots into it, I like being able to play in some retextured Goldeneye maps like Facility, and Complex. I also like the player customization aspect as well. The weapons are also a highlight for me to. I’m curious as to why Goldeneye 64 didn’t implement dialogue into the game the way Perfect Dark does. Not that it brings down Goldeneye 64 down, but’s it just strikes me as odd.

That bot play took up so much of my time once I finally completed the story mode.

As for that, it could just be a learning lesson for Rare, since PD came out three years after GE 64.

On the PS2, I have been switiching between From Russia With Love & X-Files: Resist Or Serve. While on the XBox One, I have been playing Black Desert Online.

I have been enjoying BDO for the most part, I have just crossed the 25 hour mark (which if the map size, and secondary missions which I have barely touched, are anything to go by there are many more hours to go), but it is frustrating when objectives aren't in the objective area. It hasn't happened often, but when I am told to go to this area, and kill the Witch, but the Witch is three floors up, and further along... thanks game, give me the run around why don't you.
  • Goldeneye Reloaded;
Not my “go-to” Bond game, but still pretty engaging nonetheless. I admire the game for taking the liberty of reimagining Goldeneye to fit within the Craig Era, even if a Brosnan/GE fanboy like myself felt this is blasphemous (it’d be cool if a certain other Activision Bond game did the same thing....), gameplay wise, I think it’s the best of the FPS Activision titles in the series. I’m not a fan of the Call of Duty feel to this game, but eh, whatever. 8/10.

    Star Wars Starfighter;
I love this game. It’s unfortunately had a bit of a reputation of being just a “Rogue Squadron” ripoff, but I think it’s much more than that. It’s a game that truly gives the player an immersive Star Wars expierence, without being tied down to Episode 1. I love the main characters of the game; each of them have their own unique personalities and quirks; their ships also have different weaponry as well. At the end of the day, this is one of my favorites Star Wars games, and I hope more people realize it’s true greatness. 9/10.
