Your whole post made me laugh, but this was a bit disturbing. Did you not ask if Brosnan gets to kiss them after? He is dying to know.

It's a given that Pierce kisses them afterwards.

Twisting this a little bit. Present day me goes back to meet 1989 me.

1989 me: "Damn, what happened to your hair?"
2014 me: "That's not important. What do you want to know about the Bond series?"
1989 me: "OK, I've just seen Licence to Kill. That was great! I can't wait for the next one Dalton does!"
    2014 me: "Ah..."
1989 me: "When is the next one out? 1991? Because one comes out every two years."
    2014 me: "Well, actually..."
1989 me: "So how many does Dalton end up doing?"
    2014 me: "Two."
1989 me: "Two? You mean two more? Well, I would have wanted more but I guess I can live with four."
2014 me: "No, he only makes two in total."
    1989 me: "......."
2014 me: "No, look its ok, I was disappointed too, but Bond 17 turns out ok. It's a favourite of mine. Pierce Brosnan is in it and he's not bad."
1989 me: "So what is it called?"
2014 me: "Goldeneye, named for Fleming's house in Jamaica."
1989 me: "Well, that sounds interesting. And it's out in 1991?"
2014 me: "Well, actually, there is a slight delay on that one..."
    1989 me: "1992 then. That's ages!"
    2014 me: "I'm afraid it's not out until 1995."
1989 me: "Oh, you're the bearer of good tidings today! The future sounds very depressing! I mean, six years between Bond movies! Well, what's Goldeneye about?"
2014 me: "It's got a good premise. You see it's very much set in the years following the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Uinion and-"
1989 me: "Hang on... The collapse of the Soviet Union?"
2014 me: "Yes. The Berlin Wall falls this year."
1989 me: "You're just taking the piss now."
2014 me: "Whatever. Anyway, Famke Janssen is in it."
    1989 me: "Who?"
    2014 me: "You'll see..."

I think I'd be more interested about the collapse of the Soviet Union than about the Bond movie. Although then I'd be happy about Brosnan becoming Bond.

@kerim :)) Very funny top to bottom!
    Dench's head in a jar. Can anyone play Q over 40? :))

There is hope for the series!
"The aforementioned Bond 29 is deemed a critical success with the plot of an aeronautical industrialist genetically altering herself as a friendly alien establishing a base on Mars to use a diamond satellite to split North and South France in half and repopulate Earth."

    @Chevron. Good one!
    ==

    I will ask.

Will the gunbarrel ever return to its rightful place?!
Will the James Bond theme again be triumphantly blared during appropriate Bondian moments in the film again, as opposed to anachronistic homage segments only?!
Will James Bond ever be a brash young early 30's aged Sean Connery derivative again?!
Will James Bond ever just be James Bond on mission again?!
Has digital technology advanced to the stage where all the non-Connery Bond films have been perfectly cgi-rendered with Sean's TB-prime likeness replacing the original actors, so that all Bond films can be Connery films?!
This last item of course applies to the non-Connery films in the original 20 film continuity. I don't want Sean playing Craig's Bond with all the mommy and trust issues, and other blather. When DC does a normal Bond film, then I would be happy to have it included in the future all-Connery-Bond box-set. :)

    Questions of importance:

    >Who's the current/successive Bonds?
    >Did they ever go back to the goofy Moore-esque style?
    >Have they stopped with the silly "past Bonds cameo" rumor?
    >Any gambling/betting tips?
    >Why is the world enslaved by a massive cybernetic Timothy Dalton?

You don't question this. You just merely accept it for its sheer brilliance.

Give me more time, I have only just started buil... er, forget what I said. I am absolutely not building this giant cybernetic Timothy Dalton, complete with letterbox stare, and it will absolutely not enslave the world, not crushing resistance where it does not march.

    - Does the gun barrel return to it's rightful place, and does the Bond theme return?
    - Does Caro Emerald get to sing a title track?
    - Has Sir Timothy Dalton been officially knighted?
    - Does the world wake up to the greatness of the Sir Timothy Dalton era of Bond, and collectively rank him where he should be, as the #1 Bond?

Wait, you're telling me that sixty years from now, Connery's clone was turned down?

Oh, for crying out loud, were you born yesterday? Everybody that's anybody knows that Sean Connery is immortal, and therefore no clones of him are necessary. Duhhhhhh. ;)

Thanks. Although I think if I did time travel that would be the exact way that conversation would play out based on how excited 1989-me was after seeing Licence to Kill in the cinema that summer. Hearing about a six year wait would have been crushing!

But, he already got his head cut off in 16th century Scotland, we've been dealing with clones ever since!

Does Anthony Horowitz come over to the movies? And does he write a third book?

What’s the story with Dynamite Comics and James Bond?

Who stays on (cast and crew wise) after Daniel Craig leaves?

Is Project 007 available for PS4? And does it need the internet connection to play it?

    Most importantly:

Are Purvis and Wade done with the series for good after saying they were done for the longest time?
