I don't think it's anything new, but DC is featured in Sept 2020 Issue of L'officiel.

I know the Cr look gets a lot of love, but I think his look at the casino table was oddly inconsistent and his hair was a little too contemporary for 2006 and perhaps hasn't aged well. But physically, he was perfect.

I like the more military haircut in SF though it is divisive. But he did appear thicker in SP than the previous films.

I think CR (in parts), QOS and NTTD are Craig's best looks. In particular, the latter film looks to be Craig at his most physically attractive.

I've never seen him looking as good as in NTTD. And I think that's got to do with two things: the way CJF shot and framed him (lol, that sounds funny), and with the fact that age suits Craig. His hair helps, of course. Attire wise, I think I'd go with QOS and SF. Can't get pass that corduroy three button suit with that button shirt with a tie :D

NTTD also gets my vote on the looks department, @Pierce2Daniel.

The best Craig has looked is Casino in my opinion, he looked like James Bond for this generation, particularly the end of the film in the three piece navy suit he looked like Bond
The wardrobe for Quantum was great but Craig's hairstyle didn't suit Bond, especially that picture you chose @Pierce2Daniel he looks better in the end in the desert scene or during the roof top chase, when he's a bit battered and his hair's messy I reckon
Skyfall he looked alright, he was in great shape as always like but the hairstyle was a bit short even though it suited him
I think Daniel looked his age a bit during Spectre, not to sound harsh but he did look a bit past it. It didn't help that he was injured through most of the shoot
That's why NTTD is a bit of a shock really because Daniel looks really young and honestly like he could carry on the role for another film at least. Not a fan of the Matera brown suit though, it looks cheap and stuffy. He looks cool in the pic @Univex added

If I wasn't a Bond fan and you told me No Time To Die came a couple of years after Quantum, I'd believe you. Daniel looks the best he's ever looked as Bond, I'm glad he seems to be going off in style

I will go with CR too. Especially the scene on the train with Vesper. And he really looks fab in the tux, particularly his first entrance. He looked great too in QOS and SP, not so much in SF!

I actually like Craig's haircut in SF the best, myself. I just think it suits the more disheveled style he has in that film. It shows experience, but not to the point that he's past it. And what is to my mind his best performance in the role helps.

Looks-wise: 1. CR; 2. SF; 3. SP; 4. QoS (they could not replicate the hairstyle in CR). BUT the reverse is true Style-wise:

    1. QoS. His best look of the series. Three outfits that rocked: the black polo with cream Levis, couple with dark brown desert boots; similarly, the polo with a pair of relaxed fit jeans; and the black shawl cardigan with a white dress shirt and light khaki slacks, again coupled with brown suede desert boots. Craig also rocked a dark brown suit with a gold tie. His navy suit at the Eco project meeting wasn't too shabby either.

    2. SP. Craig's entire wardrobe in Morrocco kicks ass. The navy polo with grayish chinos and light suede desert boots and tan suede jacket; he switches to a light blue button-down shirt for the train ride; then to top it off: the white dinner jacket and then the Cucinelli light brown linen blazer with chinos, white dress shirt, and rust-colored knit tie. All of it works. His winter apparel works, too. And we see Bond at home, in a nice brown striped robe.

    3. SF. The "enjoying death" outfit is a classic. Craig also looks bad ass in the barbour jacket, coupled with black jeans and a blue crew neck sweater. The gray suit (no matter its tight fit) is a classic, as well. And who doesn't love the peacoat when he follows Patrice? Overall, the clothes worked, just not enough variety for me.

    3. CR. The wardrobe for this film has never been a hit with me. The Madagascar outfit barely works. He wears a navy polo with flair chinos. Ugh. While recuperating, there's a brief scene where Bond is wearing black sweatpants, a gray sweater and (wait for it) white trainers. Dreadful. And I'm not sure what they were thinking with the blue long-sleeve polo with blue sweatpants in Venice. But not all is lost: his black casual dress shirt, with taupe dress pants, at the Ocean Club is perfect evening attire in the Bahamas. He arrives nicely, as well: tight, white, short-sleeved dress shirt and gray trousers. He rocks the tux in Montenegro.

I would say that his look in CR is quite schizophrenic. Sometimes he looks very good. Arguably the best he has looked in the series......

I would say it is emphatically CR, but he looks kinda rough in some scenes in CR! Especially in those scenes at the casino table. He seriously looks puffy and a bit knackered. I suppose it fits his interpretation of Bond as more of a brutish thug. But something about him that is a little ugly.

    casino-royale-movie-screencaps.com-8529.jpg?strip=all

I think Martin Campbell did him a disservice here. Meanwhile, Cary Fukunaga is really selling the sex with NTTD. I think NTTD may be the Bond film where Craig looks the hunkiest he's looked during his tenure. I mean.....Wow.....What a babe 😍😍😍😍😍

But whose idea was to put him in this godawful coat!!!! It's hideous! Couldn't we get another leather jacket like in CR or SF? He looks so good in a leather jacket!!!

For the most part I agree with you assessment. If I had to pick what I think is his absolute best, I would say when he has broken into M’s apartment and also when he and Verper are having dinner following the card game. His look is on point in these two scenes; in large part because he has visible eyebrows! Lol.

Of all of the stylistic choices in DC's first four films (I can't judge NTTD fully until I see the film), these are my top 5, and I have emulated each:

I've always thought that for the PTS of Skyfall that Bond should have looked basically the same as he did in CR and QoS. He would have been Bond in his prime. When we next see him, following being shot by Moneypenny, enjoying "death" he would have shed the trappings of his previous life; the fine tailored suits are gone as is the professional haircut. Chances are he's gotten it cut by a guy who has a pair of clippers and a tent on the beach. This would have illustrated Bond being disillusioned not old.

That's such a small rewrite, yet I think it would've added so much.

This would have been cool to do, though the problem is that scheduling meant this wasn’t feasible given the film was shot in chronological order. For example all the scenes with him having a beard were shot first so that the rest of the production would be him consistently clean shaven. They would have had to halt production at one point to let his hair grow out, and that would have been time lost. Or they would shoot with him in longer hair first, but then wait for his beard to grow out for the early sections of the film.

But I agree it would have been cool if they had done what you suggest.

Can't argue with those; I think he's at his most stylish there, although I might posibly swap out the QoS biking outfit for the Skyfall climax Barbour look: white jeans are maybe a bit David Coulthard :D
That Morroco arrival gear is great actually, isn't it? Sf and Sp didn't really have him put a foot wrong (apart from the tight suits perhaps).
Weirdly, for a style icon Bond actually isn't stylish very often! Connery was, and Craig was, and that's about it! :D

True, although by the looks of the trailers (so hopefully not spoilerish!) NTTD actually is doing that to some extent.

Well his beard was more of a stubble so going from one look to another would not have been much of an issue and it would have made age less of an Issue.

I’d say CR was easily DC’s best look. Especially when he and Vesper are getting ready and he strolls into the casino with a confidence and swagger that not even previous Bond’s can replicate.

I think Campbell gave Brosnan's Bond a similar shot in GE when he entered the casino....only difference was, no Bond theme and Brosnan had a relaxed gait, since the card game was just a repartee between Bond and Onatopp....even if he was still dealing with a Villian.

Marsha Stephanie Blake on Daniel Craig’s Sky High Nerves During Her Audition for ‘Othello’
    https://collider.com/daniel-craig-othello-marsha-stephanie-blake-interview/

As for working with Craig in particular, Blake was surprised by how nervous he seemed in her audition:

“What was wonderful about him, first of all, my audition with him, I don’t know why, but I went in and I’d done a bunch of Shakespeare and I was pretty confident with my Shakespeare stuff – and I don’t know if he did this on purpose; I should ask him at some point – he seemed so nervous that I ended up being not nervous. Does that make sense? He was sweating! We started doing the scene, he started speaking and he was speaking so low that I was like, ‘What? What are you saying? I can’t hear you.’ I was like, ‘Are you nervous? You need to speak up or something.’ And I found out later on [casting director] Jack [Doulin] was impressed by the fact that I wasn’t intimidated by Daniel and I was yelling at him right away to speak up.”

Whether you’re looking at Craig’s run as James Bond or the confidence he brings to most of his big screen roles, it could be easy to assume that Craig tackles everything he does with a degree of assuredness. Whether the sweat and nerves in this instance were manufactured or not, things wound up panning out great for both Blake and Craig on Othello.

“Maybe he was trying to make me feel less nervous, but can he manufacture sweat? I don’t know! Maybe it was a Shakespeare thing? Who knows? All I know is I went in there and what I saw was somebody who was like a deer caught in headlights a little bit, a little panicky and I immediately tried to make him laugh by yelling at him, and then we had the best audition. So we went from this very big audition and then [director] Sam Gold wanted us to do it as intimate, he was like, ‘Pretend like you’re in a movie and you’re just talking to each other right here. Don’t make it theatrically big, make it movie big.’ And we ended up doing this really emotional crazy scene like right up on each other and there you go. The rest is history. But he’s lovely. He’s just fun to be around. He’d be backstage playing his guitar and none of that big confident, as you say, James Bond personality at all. Except for when he was on stage and he had to be Iago.”

In terms of looks, from each film:

CR: Do have a soft spot for casual Bond during the Miami sequence, and the leather jacket is real nice.

    QoS: Bolvia brown suit,

SF: Casual Bond again, the Scotland Barbour look.

    SP: Brown morocco desert suit.

NTTD: So far, the commando outfit. I have the N Peal jumper, it is amazing.

I must say, Brosnan looks more *Bondian* by traditional standards. But it's undeniable that Craig has more swagger. That cheeky grin and hand in pocket. It's better than Brosnan's blank catwalk-model.

It's very interesting that both Campbell and Meheux emulated the shot from GE in CR. I have to say, the set in GE is far superior than the CR one....

I've also got to say that @TripAces is right, Craig's look in QOS is his best. I think Louise Frogley did the best costumes of the Craig era. I remember hearing that she was directly inspired by Steve McQueen...which works perfectly for Craig.

He never looked better than the Haiti scenes...

    quantum-of-solace-330.png
    quantum-of-solace-530.png

Also, Craig just suits looking roughed-up and bloody. Something that I think he appreciated, as he was covered in scars in CR, QOS and now NTTD. It looks as though Sam Mendes was of the opinion that Bond shouldn't look too battered.

    quantum-of-solace-751.png

I have to say that I also quite like the buzzcut he had in SF. It's certainly a departure - especially when you think of Connery's look back in the 1960's. Though I hazard that was most likely the *point*. It reminds me a little of Brad Pitt in Mr & Mrs Smith.

It's pretty edgy and iconalastic. Plus it suits his more militaristic and brutish style. I wouldn't have minded if they kept it. I know he was supposed to look a bit knackered with the stubble - and at times he does - but i like it...

It also helps that the suits in SF are the best that DC ever wore.

Suits were great in SF, it's the fitting which was the issue. It seems overly tight.

I think part of the reason we don’t see Craig get too roughed up in SF and SP is that this was supposed to be Craig getting closer to the classic Bond. Him getting roughed up was part of the “Bond Begins” aesthetic where we got to see how much more vulnerable he was on the surface before becoming the more recognizable Bond, and that felt loud and clear in SP with him sauntering on rooftops, his swiftness in getting out of the action, leaving champagne for Q, etc. Perhaps with NTTD could symbolize how once again after opening up to a woman that he became vulnerable again.
