    Hannes took Bond and Franz to see Octopussy in the theatre. Bond preferred it to NSNA.

    If I may bring the discussion back to trailers: I find it interesting that we had one amazing long trailer where everybody expected a shorter teaser, but that's all EON/the 007 socials are using at the moment.

    They keep putting out these montages with text overlays that consist of images from the trailer. They did publicly post that Super Bowl tv spot, but didn't say a word about that Oscars spot yet.
    It's not meant as a complaint, because we're being treated to some great new images in these spots, but it's not the usual promotion they do (seeing as we got just one behind-the-scenes video this time).

    So are we expecting another (final) trailer at the end of this month / beginning of March? Or do we think this is it? And we'll get some more spots and maybe 2 small scenes to promote the film?

    Whereas the Bond of Casino Royale would have been 44!

    Well no I’m not saying we’ll see Craig actually fighting a version of himself lol (that’s WILD WILD WEST territory for sure - RIP Bob Conrad). But yes the idea of either cloning Bond or even already having a Bond-clone floating in some laboratory water container or asleep in suspended animation or whatever.

    Speaking of age & for the sake of variety....I wonder if Eon might be thinking of giving us 2 Bonds in a 15yr span. Starting from Bond 26, like casting a 40yr old Bond to star in 3 films....then another 40yr Bond comes and does 3. Although, it seems highly unlikely....but it can only happen if they go back to releasing Bond films every 2yrs or so. Even at that...2 bonds in quick succession, seems unlikely....just a thought though.

    It feels like we already have a ton of footage from the film, TBH.

    We don’t have that much. The tv spots mostly came off the main trailer.

    The trailer itself did not show much in Jamaica and especially Cuba

    I am on the same page as you both to be fair. It’s more out of curiosity.

    I feel trailer 1 is 30 seconds too long. If we had a 2min trailer 1 then a 2.45min trailer 2 then I feel that will have been better use.

    The 2 tv spots are nice but I’d of preferred a shorter trailer 1, a usual length trailer 2 and still keep the super bowl tv spots as that’s a nice 30sec fresh burst with new stuff.

    Trailer 1 in hindsight is too much, although at the time it felt we where starved of stuff. Some video blogs of bts would have been preferred over the longer than normal teaser, drop the tv spot in the mix with posters and title song and drop a chunky trailer 2 with new stuff a month or so before release, this of course is just my thoughts.

    On another note, I’m looking forward to hearing Billie’ track !!

    For me there was the first trailer, then the Super Bowl spot, and everything else riffed off the footage from those two. Then the Oscar's spot had a bit of new stuff in the beginning, plus the amazing "Not as long as there are people like you in the world" line, and between all that, we've got a lot.

    I also didn't watch any Spectre trailers before watching the film, so it's probably just culture shock for me. :P

    Part of it for me is eon left us with a bit of a cliffhanger for 5 years so I’m dying for something.

    They started the Spectre story and took too long for myself and most to follow it up.

    Saw 'Birds of Prey' today, and the NTTD trailer played during the previews. Then just before the film was about, as the curtains were drawing back the NTTD quad poster was revealed on the screen with the caption 'These curtains are presented by ... NTTD'.

    Did anyone else get that at their screening?

    Event Cinemas.

    Have never seen that come up before with any other film, at that or any other cinema chain.

    What if the last scene of Dan’s tenure is of Bond dying in Madeline’s arms mirroring The death of Vesper. Not sure why that popped into my head lol Almost felt like bond looking down on Madeleine swimming was at the end of the film or possibly a dream sequence ( even though it’s probably before mod edit goes down in matera)

    Adopted in '83. If Craig Bond was born in 83 he'd be only 37 now!

    In SP records show Craig Bond was born in 1971, which would mean he'll be pushing 50 in NTTD.

    Had he continued, I'm sure he would have, maybe not been over Tracy, but come to terms with it enough to enjoy himself by the middle of his second outing.

    I just want to see Bond enjoy being Bond, especially after a 5 year gap.

    Do some of you really think the whole film will be Bond spending the entire runtime distraught about Madeleine's betrayal?

    The Bond-Madeleine relationship will without a doubt be the emotional heart of the film. But this is a Bond film, and you better believe there will be scenes full of Bond badassery and Craig kicking ass as usual.

    The Craig films have always been deeper than any other films in the franchise aside from maybe OHMSS. If you're not expecting emotion or drama then you will end up very disappointed.
