Could you imagine if this were 1979, and we hadn't had a Bond film since TMWTGG?

So no TSWLM, and we're gradually getting news that Britt Ekland would be returning in B10, followed by Hervé Villechaize, Soon Tek Oh , and of course, the ever reliable new Bond regular Clifton James. In addition, rumors abound that the plot might of B10 involve the energy crisis and Solex Agitator, so the film just might be called SOLEX.

That alternate universe is what B25 feels like to me right now.

    The two hardly compare.

That title and WOMAN GENOME were apparently awaiting the stamp of approval by Barbara and Michael..................according to an insider twitter post.

    How about this one:

It's 1995, we haven't had a Bond film since LTK, which at the time was considered an unpopular entry.
Tim is back as Bond, in the untitled follow up, which has been continuously delayed. We have official confirmation that Carey Lowell will be back as Pam, Talisa Soto will be back as Lupe, Hedison back as Felix and even Robert Davi is coming back as Sanchez .
In spite of LTK being a less than popular entry, the new film is indeed a follow up to that story and is rumored to be called JAMES.
Some fans loathe the idea of this title rumor. Other's think JAMES is a great title for a Bond film, better than anything Fleming ever came up with. The next day a new rumor surfaces that it's actually called FELIX AND JAMES. That rumor surfaces from the popularity of THELMA AND LOUISE. Again, fans debate the merits and Bondian-ness of that title.

That's what B25 feels like to me.

Very interesting.....it fits in with the Norway and Scotland scenes. I think Swinley Forest will be where the finale is set I also think it is doubling for Norway. This is all looking very reminiscent of Logan to me......

And then news drops, and nothing goes as expected; the title is nothing people were anticipating, and it's always seen as underwhelming.

LOL. No, I'm not. I do find the title debates for B25 an amusing parallel, though.

I can see it about the title, but why would Sanchez be back if his character's dead? Why would both the Bond girls from LTK? Only Madeleine is returning, Bellucci won't be in B25 (that we know of).
As for the rumored title being awful... I agree with that.

Minus Skyfall every Craig Bond film is a sequel/follow up...

I prefer SP over SF also..

Bond quits for Madeline so naturally she’s back.

Obviously blofeld and bunt kill Madeleine..

    Bonds retired.

As for the rumored title being awful... I agree with that.

Anyone that could come up with the "Brofeld" concept, and that idea actually be approved, could probably figure a way to bring Sanchez back from the dead.
Point being B25 is really the first Bond film where so many of the previous film's cast (who are not MI6 regulars) return. Madeleine, Dr Vogol, Waltz' Blofeld...........I feel I'm missing someone else...........are all back.
I know some fans loved SPECTRE and rank it high, as I did the same for LTK back in the day. Then there's the fans that place SP towards the bottom, which seems to me a majority. The general public probably doesn't remember much about the film. That said we're living in an era where franchise continuity and story arcs are such the norm, they are to be expected. So I can almost see why Eon would chose to bring back characters from the last film.
Had SP been the OHMSS masterpiece for the modern era, I probably wouldn't feel so iffy about a follow up. I'd want the YOLT SHATTERHAND adaptation we've been discussing for years now. Somehow, I really don't think that's what we're going to to get. I do think we'll get a unique Bond film that Fukunaga puts his individual stamp on, yet not shying away from it feeling traditionally Bondian.

This is purgatory! They are filming across the road from us right now, and we tried to access the forest for an innocent evening stroll.
Got told the forest is closed until the 18th due to filming using vehicles which they don’t want the public to see.....as much as it pains me, they are doing a damn good job at keeping it under wraps ( we tried 3 separate entry points) they told us they were sorry they couldn’t tell us what was being filmed but there were vehicles there which they needed to keep secret from the public ... I can hear the bloody helicopter!

However......quick word of warning. Marvel’s Black Widow has also been filming in forests around Surrey this month.

So there is about as much evidence at the moment that this could be for that film.

There’s something else that’s prudent and on point; the only person who can grant permission to film there (as she did for Harry Potter) is HM The Queen. It’s also not an accident (as the post earlier) that it is a good likeness for the Norway setting.
