It's easy: The Spy Who Loved Me. LTK is so overrated and doesn't feel like Bond at all. It's too american, you know with the cop out of the case because it's too personal but he stills continues with it... Plus The Spy Who Loved Me is my second favourite...
    20. Licence To Kill
    19. You Only Live Twice
    18. Tomorrow Never Dies
    17. A View To A Kill
    16. Diamonds Are Forever
    15.The World Is Not Enough
    14. Goldfinger
    13. The Living Daylights
    12. Live And Let Die
    11. Thunderball
    10. Quantum Of Solace
    9. Goldeneye
    8. Casino Royale
    7. For Your Eyes Only
    6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    5. Dr. No
    4. Octopussy
    3. From Russia With Love
    2. The Spy Who Loved Me

What's #1? It can only be MR, TMWTGG, or DAD. Maybe the 3 most hated entries in the series. Any way you cut it you're an iconoclast.
    The whole thing is:
    22. Moonraker
    21. Die Another Day
    20. Licence To Kill
    19. You Only Live Twice
    18. Tomorrow Never Dies
    17. A View To A Kill
    16. Diamonds Are Forever
    15.The World Is Not Enough
    14. Goldfinger
    13. The Living Daylights
    12. Live And Let Die
    11. Thunderball
    10. Quantum Of Solace
    9. Goldeneye
    8. Casino Royale
    7. For Your Eyes Only
    6. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    5. Dr. No
    4. Octopussy
    3. From Russia With Love
    2. The Spy Who Loved Me
    1. The Man With The Golden Gun

And why do you think I'm a iconoclast?

    LTK

IMO it's the greatest film of all time. Dalton ^:)^ proves why he is the best Bond with some great acting. Bond is pissed of and out for revenge, but still has his gadgets and manages to crack a joke or two. I love the plot, the villian, the girl, everything.

The action is great, some amazing stunts. The scene when Bond kills Sanchez at the end is just pure badass. The fight scenes are cool, and so are Bonds allies (Sharky is one of my favourite characters of the series), and it's Desmonds best performance as Q. And it's really cool seeing the fall of Sanchez thanks to Bond.

TSWLM is in my top 5, Moore is great, Jaws is great and it's a fun, action packed film. But it can't touch LTK.

Licence To Kill by a wide margin. I personally find it the far better film.

The Spy Who Loved Me, because it's a better Bond film.

The Spy Who Loved Me, far much more goes on, although I do like a more violent Bond release, but this time went with Spy, simply keeps the interest more

Let it be said, I heavily enjoy TSWLM. However, I prefer LTK just a wee bit more. Both are fairly evenly matched in catagories, but I don't know, I've just always loved LTK.

18-12. LTK is shortening the lead, but it's still got a lot of catching up to do.
  • I love Licence to Kill, I really do. A truly brilliant film.

But The Spy Who Loved Me is the best James Bond film of all time. What a brilliant film. Every thing about it was superb. Just a couple of days ago, I ranked the James bond films by 10 categories: Bond girls, 007 performance, plot, action/stunts, other characters, locations, music, villains, gadgets/cars and my own personal likability factor. there was a potential 100 marks to obtain. I gave 91 marks to The Spy Who Loved Me. Everything about it is superb and amazing and iconic. Moore at his best. Nothing does it better.

TSWLM for Me, LTK was more like Miami Vice, bland and colorless. give me some Moore! :-bd

Both very good, like them both a lot, have to pick TSWLM because of the better sets and the more attractive Bond girls.

As much as TSWLM is a guilty pleasure of mine, Licence To Kill has Dalton, Davi, and DelToro and IMHO both Dalton films beat any Moore film.

22-14. LTK is catching up but still has a way to go. BTW I've got a few more suugestions.

Dr.No vs. On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The battle of the first two debuts and the beginning and end of the 60s golden era.

For Your Eyes Only vs. Octopussy. My 2 favorite Moore films and im curious as to which is more popular.

Thanks to score-keeping by @Agent007391 and @DoubleOhhSeven and whoever else who helped out, the final is score is 22-15 in favor of The Spy Who Loved Me. A win for '70s Moore over '80s Dalton, congratulations to the former!

In the spirit of taking suggestions, @DoubleOhhSeven has kindly donated some to us, so to grant his request, here's the next round:

Dr. No vs. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
  • OHMSS

It shouldn't be (imo) but this one is going to be very close!

I feel that OHMSS is going to win this round, but I'm gonna buck the trend and go with Dr. No! Let's get one thing straight though: these are two superb Bond adventures. I'm edging it to Dr. No because of my personal preference of Connery >>>> Lazenby, but as I said, DN and OHMSS are two great Bond adventures.

    4. Dr. No (1962) - 9/10
    5. Thunderball (1965) - 8.5/10
    6. The Living Daylights (1987) - 8.5/10
    7. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) - 8.5/10

    OHMSS again??

    Regardless,

God Connery+Origin+Ursula out of the water+Wiseman as a great villain+Quarrel, the #3 Bond ally ever+Jamaica+the famously cold killing of Dent= DR NO WINS

Don't you just love Bond math?!

Much like 0+0 is always zero, Sean Connery plus anything always equals awesome.

Dr. No - first, the one and only Sean WAS Bond, stamping this as an iconic figure for our times and the (at that time) daring introduction of a true Bond girl, Honey, and the overall tone and style of the film. Plus I still find it fun. I do not like much about OHMSS.
