Those invisible dust bunnies do reek havoc in Haiti don't they?
  • That's why I like the dramatic scenes more...

That is hilarious. Ghostly dust anyone? And John Glen complained that the extra Charles Dance in FYEO could not hold a gun straight! I wonder what he would have made of this?!

It's obvious it was supposed to be a closer take. Anyway it should be cut in the editing table...

But why do it in the first place ? whats the difference between not sweeping the ground and actually just sweeping it ?

It's entirely possible they had no other cutaways. I'd like to think it was picked up by Cheese or Forster, but in all honesty, with the speed at which they had to cut the movie it's entirely feasible they missed it. I'm sure there are many people who've seen the film multiple times and not spotted it.

To be honest they did work with a not completed script, and her we see one of its unfinished bits. The script just gave no directions for the extra. :D

I've seen the film at least 20x and I've never spotted that faux pas. Gives me an excuse to watch again to keep a look out for the sweeper that didn't want to dirty his broom.
Actually, Olga and her little black dress keep me coming back to this film, plus I really like the opening car chase with its car-over-the-cliff homage to DN.
I do stick my fingers in my ears for some of the Haggfish dialogue, but otherwise its a quite watchable alternative Bond take.
There's a lot of quirky interesting stuff in this film. eg. every single facial expression that Anatole Taubman as Elvis makes.
Incinerated standing-up in his underwear was a novel ending for this oddball Quantum henchman.
But that sweeper gives the movie yet another unique quirk.
Think I'll pop it again this weekend. Double it up with SF.
  • This is absolutely hilarious, thanks for this find!!!

As funny as this is, the Bond collar shambles near the beginning of the film is much worse. Whoever was responsible for continuity should not have been allowed that job as they made a balls of it.

The airbrushing department had a low budget.

Hoverbrooms don't work on water- that's why they have hovermops.

The budget on QOS was so large.
To get this one shot, They lowered
the world by a few inches :D

The budget on QoS was so large, they greenscreened the ground.

It's effective CGI I think. It REALLY looks like the broom isn't touching the ground!

Rather a sweeping statement, considering broom and ground have never met.
