Can the next Saint drive a Bentley too. Since we know new The Saint film underway. I just hoping this to keep away from a new 4 cylinder Volvo.
I just hope it won't be a monster-looking Lamborghini for The Saint like it was with Andrew Clarke's version. It's just too flashy and futuristic for Templar. I don't know if I'd want a Bentley Continental GT for him, either... Perhaps a classic car... I'd love if Simon Templar drives an old Austin-Healey 3000. Hell of a car.

A Bentley Continental was featured in new Hawaii 5-0 which Jack Lord who went from his Felix Leither to the original Hawaii 5-0 tV series as Steve McGarreth,Now played by Australian Alex O'Loughlin. Chris Vance played a James Bond type of Mi6 agent as Harry Langord who you might remember in the short live Tv series version Transporter drove exactly like Bond did in Quantum of Solace but never recked the car. He also carried a Walther P99 as well. The episode was For Queen & Country .[img][/img]

If true, this can only be good news. Long overdue in my humble opinion.

I in Auto express the The 2 seater Bentley got the green light go on production of their concept EXP10 6 speed. It will called in production Barnato. I don't know if released in 2018 or 19 but it going to rival Aston Martin V8 Vantage & Jaguars F-type. It maybe James Bond future car to replace his Aston Martin if has it way.

Moving forward, if they recast, I'd actually prefer Bond in a Jag of those three. I'd like to see them revert to Fleming and have Bond's vehicle as his personal set of wheels, something he goes about fine tuning himself. I'm done with the tricked out, Q-branch lark; they should rest it for a bit. Of the three the Jag is believably attainable (and also a nice looking motor).

I'd also like him to get a bit of ribbing from some of those at HQ for being a flash bastard.

Sorry to be the one to disagree here but I much prefer the Aston. That has been Bond's car in almost every film and I love them all. Yes it is different from the books but that is what we have seen on screen and I'd like to see it kept that way.

I've lucky enough to spend a considerable amount of time driving both Aston's and Bentley's and I would vote Aston every time. Bentley just doesn't do it for me. The interior is VERY nice and posh but I don't dig the lines/body much at all. It feels like a boat driving around and is not quick and responsive. The Aston on the other hand is much more quick, peppy, light and fun to drive. I think it looks much better. The interior is still Bond worthy though not as posh as the Bentley. My biggest problem with Aston is that they are SO UNRELIABLE. Breakdowns left and right.

One other important thing to note is the audiences connection with Aston. I know I get super excited to finally see the Aston roll up. I don't think I have EVER heard a theater explode as mush as when the garage opened up to the DB5 in Skyfall. The whole theater erupted with joy and I know I was smiling from ear to ear. The only time I can think of that was even close to that amount of response from an audience in a movie theater was when Han Solo came on screen in The Force Awakens.

Don't get me wrong - Bentley are nice cars for sure but I like the Aston.... hands down.

Bentley's typically are far more reliable and have a better build quality than Astons.

    DB11 might be different ...I don't know.

I agree. Q can always fix.

Besides Bond's cars don't seem have a very long life expectancy anyway.

Are astons still unreliable ? I remember the vanquish in DAD was very unreliable.
I thought they would have fixed the problems since then....

Aston is a small independent carmaker. It doesn't have the resources to make highly reliable cars. It really was better off as part of Ford.

    Imagine if Bentley buys Aston...

We might get a hybrid of Bentley and Aston put together to become the definitive Bond car. Could happen. ;)

Or Mercedes... but yeah minus using the Ford parts bin Aston was more reliable under Ford.

I think Ford still owns a small percentage of AM.

Naah... Mercedes is a bit too robust. I don't think it would suit Bond.

No I agree but Mercedes and Aston were considering a partnership ...namely engines at least. I believe the interface in the DB11 is in fact from Mercedes.

A inside look at the new DB11. Worth the watch. Doug is goofy but makes fun videos.

Not really sure why Bond needs a sports car in the first place. Seems like a motorcycle would be more of Bond's style.

He drove one in CASINO ROYALE (1967). Also the only film in which Bond actually dies.

    And in NSNA.

I'd rather he doesn't get a motorcycle. Bond should stick to fancy high class sports cars.

Not against service policy, I believe.

James Bond needs a car. He wants to hear the engine. He wants to control the metal beast with driving gloves, hands on the steering wheel, and the jolt, pleasure and excitement he gets by shifting gears and accelerating, all the while sitting back and feeling the rumble course through his entire body.
Driving, for Bond, whether Bentley or Aston Martin, gives the character great pleasure.

He would never get the same kick on a motorcycle (with apologies to Sir Sean and CGI Brozzer).
