I never realized that she played one and the same character called "Rublevitch" over the course of 3 different Movies. That's quite remarkable. Also she won the Miss World title in 1969.

If that's regulation kit, then I should start watching women's football.

I think we all would. And overnight women's football would become more popular than the regular one.

    Quite so.

Her spiritual successor imho is Liz Hurley and it's a darn shame that neither appeared in official Bond films, but rather, in parodies.

Really good point re. Hurley as spiritual successor to Bisset. Makes you wonder if we have a Bisset anno 2018 around. Can't think of one.

The World of James Bond documentary pops in my head when I think of Liz Hurley, probably as close as she got to being a Bond girl (Austin Powers aside).

I am inclined to agree, now that you mention it.

I do agree with this, although Hurley did a fine job in Austin Powers. Great chemistry with Mike Myers. I'm happy she did the film.

She looked like a proper Bond girl in this video!
Fun to see Pierce look genuinely excited to play Bond at the end there, too :))

That was a great documentary. Lot of fun. I really love that era in which GE brought Bond back tot the screen. Seemed everything was a celebration of Bond that year. Good stuff!

ELizabeth Hurley most certainly should have been cast back then. I can think of a handful of Brosnan era Bond girls should would have been great as.

I love how Liz bounces when she walks, shame Liz never got at least a cameo role in the PB era.

PB certainly more enthusiastic than DC lol PB reveled in playing 007.

DC might be enthusiastic about playing Bond, but Brosnan certainly made no attempt to hide his excitement. :))

Me, too! I was 18 when Goldeneye finally came out and it was the beginning of a Bond renaissance for me! I watched that Hurley-hosted documentary on my laserdisc all the time! Her in front of the Aston was the best!

Back then I thought about Bond during the hiatus though its was not at the forefront of my mind, as much as I love the films and even though I am on a Bond site I tend to switch off from the next film until the real build up starts. I do miss those simpler pre Internet times.

Everything about the GE marketing was great, I remember seeing the awesome teaser for the first time, Bond was back with a bang!
