Actually The animated series re-invented the Mister Freeze character and gave him a new backstory. B&R ripped it off and failed.

Oh! Told you I wasn't an expert though I have been buying up some Batman stuff of late. I like the early Batman of 30s and 40s when he was basically a detective with a gun.

Yes I think mister freeze was created for the Adam West Batman series and went off radar after.

So, he wasn't in the originals?!

To my knowledge no. Though I'm not a big batman expert either. I just tag on little trivia tidbits.

Yes, but you've probably seen all the films. I haven't, though I own them all (yes, even the 1966 one). It's getting the time. Which would you recommend to a newcomer, @Murdock?

As a Batman newcomer. I highly recommend Batman 1989. To me it's the definitive Batman flick. It has it's own unique feel. It feels very old fashion while being modern at the same time. The acting is top notch. Jack Nicholson steals the show.

I would also recommend the Nolan trilogy. They are well made films.

Although my number one recommendation for newcomers is the Animated batman feature "The Dark Knight Returns." Deluxe edition as it combined Both parts into one film. It's a great animated film based on Frank Miller's batman story of the same name. It's my favorite Batman media to date.

Thanks for that, friend. I was kind of heading in that direction.

Batman Begins, I prefer the Shadow version better! http://www.shadowsanctum.net/interactive/tidbits_archive/shadow_batman-movie_comparisons.html

The Dark Knight, too bloody pretentious and NO fun
The Dark Knight rises, worst ending of a trilogy bar The Matrix 2 & 3

2001 A Space Odyssey is like watching paint dry and that effort sounds more exciting.

Inglorious Basterds, like any QT movie it is great the 1st time you see it, the next time you cannot be bothered to watch the whole thing, moments of it yes but not the whole beastie.

Goodfellas & Casino both horrible movies that makes me feel dirty after seeing the movies, vastly overrated and I have no interest in them any more having seen them in cinema. The departed was a poorly copied version from the Asian versions and the current Wolf of Wall Street celebrate ways of living I am not comfortable with. These movies do not add anything to my perception, they annoy me.

Only one movie comes to mind and that movie is Matrix Revolutions, the final disappointing chapter to an ok movie. I remember liking the first part to this one ; Matrix Reloaded.

Have never watched that one again.

I bought the new Conan film when it came out, but gave it away after one watch. By Crom, that was bad. Not as bad as Red Sonja, but still.

I found this movie closer to the Howard stories that the Schwarzenegger tales.

Probably true, bot Jason Momoa was terrible in the part. Not that Schwarzenegger was not.

Another film I bought that was given away after one watch-Ghost Rider:Spirit of Vengeance. The first was great, the second a total waste of money and time.
