    Pray you never do.

  • The same person thinks that the Dalton/Brosnan years were the best for Bond, and that they were the only Bonds. Craig was apparently the worst, Moore was a clown, and they refused to acknowledge Lazenby.

Roger Moore clearly is my favourite actor of the 6. No doubt about it.
The Saint and especially The Persuaders are two of my most favourite tv-shows.
If I only look at the Bond movies, I like Dalton more.

I now have Moore just behind Connery as Bond actor. Craig was challenging for that place but has dropped a few notches due to SP.

I actually prefer Dalton in non-Bond roles, and the same definitely goes for Brosnan - much prefer him in nearly everything he does outside of Bond.

Even though I would put Dalton, Craig and Connery ahead of him, I wouldn't say anything against Moore, he was a great Bond, bar the over-rated TSWLM I love all his 007 films. And he did some great movies outside of Bond. I watched GOLD the other evening (Directed by the great Peter Hunt, I wonder how he would have handled a Moore Bond film?) and he is terrific in it!

I agree. I saw that a few weeks back and was impressed with Moore's seriousness and demeanour in the film. Even his fight in the mine was more visceral than what he did in TMWTGG from around the same time. I wish he would have played Bond a little more like that more often.

Quality wise? Absolutely. But if I'm on a desert island and I need some cheering up, SP is the way to go.

I like that idea. Provided there is a television set and a power source on that desert island.

He isn't dying on these forums, but he doesn't get as much love in other places (YT comments and other sites' rankings).

Moore was barely edged out by Connery for first place.

Just how I'd like it, being the unapologetic Moore nostalgiac that I am.

@Mendes4Lyfe, always makes me happy to not only see love for DN, but to see it ranked #1 on someone's list. Glad I'm not the only one who loves the absolute hell out of that movie.
