Nice. It would also be great if they could get Finn back and do right by his character, but I doubt Boyega would ever return.

It's fun to see Hera and Chopper there.

    And my favourite, Sabine !

Oh I didn’t twig it was Sabine, of course.
  • Count me in as happy on these new films ! Glad we are getting them from all different time periods. Looking forward to Dave Filoni’s ‘Mandoverse’ conclusion. I am also really happy that Daisy Ridley is returning for a new film post TROS. We need a better film than that as a conclusion ..

In Ahsoka, we're going to get a very special guest : David Tennant (the Tenth and Fourteenth Doctor) will voice a Droid :

Not the first Doctor to have played in the saga. Peter Cushing and Tom Baker had roles before.

Mandalorian S3 Ep7 Grogu :)) a certain scene was absolutely hilarious. Otherwise something of note actually happens this week. They certainly saved the budget for this one, good ending, the season finale looks like it will be epic. That ending, I was sat in silence as the credits roll, definitely one of the best episodes of the show.

KK wants new Star Wars stories to focus on quality.

Mandalorian S3 Ep8 a lot of visual effects and not much else, seems a good place to end the series. Season 3 overall was badly underwritten almost as though they had just given up on the show.

The Mandalorians and Grogu are so silly at this point I did laugh a lot.
  • Agreed, Season 3 finale was not good. The whole season was a flop IMO.

I think people are being a bit harsh. It's a step down in quality from the first season especially, but I would not call it a flop and I would not say the series is dead like some people have.

Yeah it was fun. I'll barely remember it in a few days' time, but that's okay; it entertained me while it was on. There was a big battle and it was in space: Star Wars.

I know I’m almost a year late, but I watched Obi-Wan over the last few days. Very enjoyable. Some of the best lightsaber fights since the prequels. It should have honestly been a 2.5-3 hour movie, as there was a bit of too much fluff at times. Overall, I liked it, but I could go either way with another season.

There is some fella trying to edit it into a movie as a fan project apparently.

I never really thought of MANDO as highly as so many other people seem to hold it, especially since I thought S2 was a step down. So I wasn’t really disappointed in S3, in fact I think I enjoyed it more than the last.

Came in here to basically post this exact post word for word.

Somehow Season 3 made me appreciate S1 and S2 less. I had a really good time with a few episodes of S2 though.

I watched Andor late and it made S3 feel like a C grade film school project.

I would rather Rian Johnson made Knives Out films than Star Wars ones.

He has one more to go with Netflix. After three Benoit Blanc murder mysteries and POKER FACE, I’d welcome him to have a crack at another Star Wars film.

It will likely be good although the hardcore nerds will boycott it

I thought he showed he didn't really have the feel for it, to be honest. Some nice ideas but they didn't really translate to a good film.
I'm more interested in James Mangold's one- he has the sensibility for this sort of entertainment.

They’re a loud minority that boycotts everything that happens to Star Wars. If Disney always listened to them, we’d never get the Rey film that is currently in development.

Yes, Star Wars fans are some of the worst fandoms out there. Us Bond fans are a bit civilized. As for the future of Star Wars, I would like to see all the projects get made. Namely Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron. I hope Mark Hamill comes back as Luke, though. It feels like he should have been the one to rebuild the Jedi Order. We'll see if Rey can have a better story arc now that JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson are competing with each other. I also like to see other past Jedi make comebacks playing off one of my favorite scenes in TROS.

It's weird how SW was somehow the acceptable, cool fandom to be in in the 90s, but now it's an absolute quagmire.
