Got To Give It Up (Part 1) - Marvin Gaye

Such a fun movie, and love the scene when the villain is "fully revealed" with dance.

Sam Rockwell is great the film is fun, in modern Hollywood good action comedies seem to be a rare breed.

Tinderbox by Siouxsie and the Banshees (1986)

Didn't intend to listen to the full album this evening, just 'Cities In Dust'. Probably my favourite of their albums. This or Juju. What's your fave Siouxsie Sioux album and/or song?

    M.F.S.B. - K-Jee (RSO Records 1975)

I bought Saturday Night Fever on CD today from a charity shop cheap, not owned this album for 20 years when i had it on LP.

There are some great tracks on this album, I can see why at one point it was the biggest selling album of all time.

    The Late Great Johnny Ace

One of my favorite Paul Smon songs, the ending is haunting.

Bob Dylan - Roll on John (Official Audio)

    Queen - Life Is Real
    (Song For Lennon)

    Paul McCartney - Here Today

    Heart breaking knowing the history.
Paul and John both losing there mothers when young.

These songs have something in common, I know @Dwayne will get it immediately without listening to the tracks.

I bought Paul Simon Hearts and Bones yesterday on cassette, fantastic album was a great experience listening to it on tape, it led me to reminiscing about other tribute songs for...

As a side note the song writing ability's of the above is unbelievable.

The Troggs - Love Is All Around

Listening to this as the easiest song to put drum beats on it as an overdub due to its mono sound, a great song for my drum lessons

Yes, it's covered by Wet Wet Wet, I also enjoyed that one, both are good in their own right, it became a soundtrack of Four Weddings And A Funeral.

Of course now I remember the Wet Wet Wet history of the song, if I recall it was at number 1 for 16 weeks in the UK or something like that... a record?

Happened to listen to The Beaches in shuffle, these are what Spotify have given me to listen:

The Beaches - Want What You Got

    The Beaches - Let's Go

I'm also listening to the likes of Warpaint, The Warning and other Indie Rock Bands, happy to see those all female rock bands being great compared to (no offence) to what the mainstream have been offering us these days.

(Sorry Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Miley Cyrus 😬)

    And speaking of The Warning:

The Warning - XXI Century Blood

    Thanks @Fire_and_Ice_Returns.
And yes, those three songs do take me back to a painful moment in time. It seems like just yesterday, yet it's been several decades.

@Dwayne I was young at the time though my parents listened to Lennon and The Beatles so had an awareness of John, it was probably my earliest memory of a tragedy on that scale I have a vivid memory of seeing the news announcement of his death, i likely responded more to my parents reaction than the news..
