I am fully on board with the Guardian's mini polemic about this. Eva Green calling English people "peasants from Hampshire" is incredibly funny, somehow. Craig would get scewered, because as far as I grasp it, his perceived personality is more serious and humble and of course he is English. Eva Green is a French diva. Didn't she also say in her defence that it was her Frenchness that made her write these things? How great is that? We always complain about modern stars being too media-trained. I much prefer this..

‘Shitty peasants from Hampshire’ is simultaneously one of the most French and one of the most upper class English insults I’ve ever heard.

Sure, it just irritates me how some Bond fans are determined to take everything he says in the worst way possible and yet I'm quite sure would give Ms Green a pass for saying worse things because she has nice boobs, ultimately.

Yeah, but Eva acted in Based On A True Story and that was directed by a convicted child rapist, so slagging off the low quality crew that a dodgy producer wanted to bring in to save money is nothing, man!
Have to say, I was amused today when she (somewhat knowingly) had recourse to the Daniel Defence. Looking to win over public sympathy with reference to a much-loved role? Surely not. Cough. But give her a pass just because she has nice boobs? Nay, this is Eva Green, the most glorious creature that ever lived - there is no pass: she's not guilty. Even if she is. Which she's not... ;)

A noble and worthy cause for Craig to endorse.
Hopefully some of the many millions members of the entertainment industry make, will also go to such a worthy cause.

There was a time when it seemed he would always bail on a project, at least 3-4 of them.

    Which projects?

    Two that I know of.

    1. The Monuments Men (I think a scheduling conflict came up)
    2. The Whole Truth (Keanu Reeves took his role)

In the case of the second, he made the right decision. That project went downhill quickly, and DC bailed just before shooting was set to begin.

I was just reminiscing on the PSP the other day. Such a fun console.

It really was, and such a well executed piece of hardware.

I got into researching it again this morning and am surprised by how cheap you can acquire one these days.

On the other hand, I had no idea it was region free AND that there's a QoS UMD edition. If 17 year old me had known that was available at the time, I would've scooped it up day one. Now, I see one eBay listing for about $200. Depressing.

The PSP was definitely my bus ride companion that made me wish the rides would last longer so I could spend more time. Might have even willingly passed my stop just so I could keep playing and worry about going home later.

My go to was Ridge Racer.

@Red_Snow, thanks for that, very happy to see filming is already underway. I'm excited for this project.

@MakeshiftPython, Ridge Racer was great. My go-to was GTA: Liberty City Stories, since I loved it in general but it doubled as a good way to relax to music through the in-game radio station. The ability to buy movies and watch it on the PSP was a treat too. I really wish Sony would do another version of it instead of whatever handheld streaming device they're working on now.

Times change. It looks like both Nintendo and Sony have abandoned traditional handheld devices due to smart phones having taken over.

That makes sense though. Back when I had a PSP, I carried it with me for multiple purposes: Play music and movies, browse the internet via Wi-Fi, and of course gaming. However, once I got a smart phone that’s when I started to carry my PSP less and less. The only reason I would bring it is to play the games.

I didn’t see the PlayStation Vita as a major upgrade, so I didn’t really go for that.
