Bumping this as it looks like a new question is required from @RC7?

Well, Spectre is mentioned in DN, FRWL, TB, YOLT, and SP. Dr No is mentioned in FRWL. I can't remember if Casino Royale gets mentioned again. I'm pretty sure that's it.

Just to clarify.. we're not referring to them saying the title in the movie itself. Example: M asking what happened to the Moonraker in Moonraker?

Well 'Licence to Kill' - does 'licensed to kill' count? must be mentioned a few times ... Dr. No, For Your Eyes Only, Spectre, GoldenEye

The World is Not Enough in OHMSS

Spectre in DN, FRWL, TB, YOLT

    Dr No in FRWL
  • Hmm, yeah, my memory failed me.

Mentioned in speech then, not in writing.

Does M say 'For Your Eyes Only' in Octopussy as he hands him the file on 009 or am I just imagining it?

@Birdleson I had a feeling it was there somewhere, but could you specifically remind me when Dr. No is said in FRWL?

Since no one got it, I have another.

What do OHMSS, GE, DAD and SF have in common?

A major character "dies" and comes back with physical deformities? Blofeld in OHMSS, Trevelyan in GE, Moon in DAD and Silva in SF?
  • edited April 2016 Posts: 337
I was thinking of Silva, but we don't really see him die on-screen. He's the one with the major deformity, though, since Bond only gets a scar. But I meant characters we see "die" on-screen and we are led to believe that they are dead, but they somehow come back later and cause trouble. I guess I'll edit it to Bond/Silva.

EDIT: I realized that this also happens with Blofeld in SP. Damn.

Mmm. That makes sense. I was looking for PTS deaths at first, but the OHMSS one obviously doesn't occur until near the end of the film.

I'll guess long time lapses during the films?

OHMSS- Time in which Bond and Tracy start dating
GE- The nine years between the PTS and the rest
DAD- The 14 month timeframe in which Bond is held captive
SF- The months between the PTS and rest of the film where Bond is presumed dead.

I was thinking the same thing.

Thanks. I've got a fairly simple one.

What does YOLT and LALD have in common in regards to the rest of the series?
