These are the two three-parters I have from the 90's:

Thanks for reminding me, I haven't read them yet!!! :O

Sweet I have those same ones!

Serpent's Tooth is a great one and feels just like an actual Bond movie.
Permission to Die sure started out great (they made it clear that we were dealing with 'Connery Bond') but the next two were pretty boring from what I remember-- I may have to check that one out again as it's been quite a while

I also have 'A Silent Armageddon' which started promising but unfortunately they never realeased part 3 and 4....
A shame because it was as close to an 'R rated' Bond story that I've seen- pretty bloody!

*Edit- oh yeah I also have the FYEO adaption, which is pretty damn funny

I *LOVED* the same writer/artist's latest collaboration:

I actually read that 6-parter (a very Bond-like story), and it was awesome, so I have no doubt their Bond one will rock!
    *drools*

I would really love to get that one, but I have no idea how... I've read the novels and have obviously seen the movies and this take on Dr No must surely be interesting in comparison!
How long is it? (how many pages)

You would be a mi6-hq hero if you could scan your copy and post it :)

That *might* bring up copyright issues.... just sayin'.

copyright here is well and truly out of date, the perpetuation of the art form is a valid enough excuse that we are indeed educating ourselves on the subject matter not attempting to not buy something that has not been sold since 1960 like say in the case the Dr no DC print. dc no longer publish it, it exists and they show no will to republish it, therefore the only way one could get it is through someone else.

THIS RULE WOULD ONLY APPLY TO THINGS THAT HAVE LONG SINCE BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO GET.

An interesting artist to be sure! I have a 4-part 'Batman vs Predator' by him--which is kind of funny because with his style, it looks like Bond dressed as Batman :D

I have that as well- Gulacy is my favourite artist!
I *NEED* to get Time Bomb, one of his latest works. Six From Sirius is like spies in a space based future.
Strange though, no Bond graphic novel stuff by anyone that I can find that's recent....

I just finished the Mike Grell "Permission To Die' and it was pretty good- lagged a bit in part 2, but in the end I'd say it was a good read!

I won't read comics or books unless it's pages I can turn with my fingers... I have a fondness for antiques. ;)

I was searching for the Dr No-comic about a year ago. Found this: http://www.mister8.com/dr-no-in-comics-pt-i-of-a-handful/

By that logic you would have to go out and buy a mega drive to play the duel and find the cartridge.
in some cases such as these the things are so out of print
  • The Showcase Dr. No is something of an anomaly for DC. I believe it was originally prepared to be published by Classics Illustrated, and when that ran aground (probably because the subject matter was entirely too harsh for the CI line) a last-moment arrangement was made with DC. The Dr. No book is very hard to find these days and pretty pricey. The Mike Grell "Permission to Die" books were quite enjoyable, and the Moench/Gulacy books published by Dark Horse were even better IMHO. Anyone who enjoys those books would be well advised to pick up this team's '70s Marvel "Master of Kung Fu" title, where an MI6 agent named Clive Reston (rumored to be the illegitimate son of an unnamed but rather legendary agent from a decade or so previous) is a recurring character.
