    DC are of FIRE!!!

My eyes welled up listening to Keaton's Batman.

Oh I'm an idiot: I completely missed that that's Keaton's voice.

I must admit some of the meaningful images I didn't recognise. Should I know that suburban house, or that lump of rock?

I know DC comics extremely well its a pivotal scene in the Flashpoint Paradox that house I would not want to spoil anything.

    PB is very enthusiastic here...

Teaser right at the end Black Adam has to face Superman... Please 😂

I'm happy Keaton is playing Batman again but I'm not looking forward to this film too much. Don't give a damn about multiverses and all that stuff. Maybe I'll just watch those scenes in which he's by himself. And if it ends up leading to a standalone film for him, then great.

I did feel it's a bit odd in a way, as I know I'm maybe not representative of everyone, but I thought Ezra Miller has delivered really weird, flat performances as Flash and I'm not sure a film starring this version. Batman is the big draw, I imagine.

Good question, @mtm. Since I don't quite know how faithful their adaptation of the source material will be, it might be best to leave your eggs uncooked for the time being. Perhaps it's wisest to watch the live-action film first and then compare it to the animation film / comic. You only get one "virgin viewing" after all. But... I don't know. It may not matter after all. Your choice. ;-)

Whoa I was just looking online as curious if Eobard Thawne had been cast in The Flash yet (one of my favourite Super Villains) and stumbled on a very interesting rumour.

Major Spoiler... I am going to have to watch the teaser trailer again immediately.

Edited: OMG I can't believe it!

    Huge Spoiler...

When out of costume the long haired 'Barry' is wearing a jacket with Reverse Flash yellow on it, an allusion to who he really is?

It just occurred to me. In the JL/WW films Jack Kirby created the villains but not the heroes. In the Avengers films, Kirby created the heroes, but not the villains (with the exception of Loki).

Oh I had no idea they were making that. Coincidentally I watched The Suicide Squad yesterday, but I ended up switching it up when the big monster appeared. I guess watching bodies explode in a mass of blood is funny a few times but the same joke for two hours gets a bit old.

Just finished another round of Zack Snyder's Justice League. I cannot stress how big a fan of this movie I am. Yes, it's a four-hour epic; no, I'm never bored. Snyder's vision, heavily criticised over the years, really works for me. Not only does the film look incredible, but the story is also exactly what I've come to expect after reading hundreds of JLA comics. In my opinion, there furthermore isn't a single Marvel of DC film that has a team working together so splendidly well as this one. The climactic assault on Steppenwolf's hideout is perhaps the best superhero team mission since forever. I also love the cast and I'm glad we're getting more Gadot Wonder Woman, more Miller Flash and more Momoa Aquaman (and a little more Batfleck I suppose). I just wish that somehow somewhere there's a chance that Fisher and Cavill would be willing to reprise their roles, although it seems unlikely.

Snyder was handpicked and DC gave him the keys to their vaults, but WB stepped in and decided that gloomy superhero stuff isn't selling quite as well as funny, childproof Avengers material. Well, it shouldn't have to. It's okay that we get both. DC should be its own thing, not a Marvel wannabe. The Snyderverse has a lot of fans. Incidentally, the films that bring the director's vision rather than the studio's (BvS, JL) are always better received. The suits need to stay away. With the early DCU films, Wonder Woman not included, they repeated the mistakes made in the '90s. I applaud WB for making these films; I merely think they are sometimes clumsy when it comes to working with a dedicated director. They left Nolan more or less alone, but Snyder had to fight for every single frame so to speak. Releasing a JL film that tries to stuff everything in two hours is a sign of incompetence in my opinion. And then there's Suicide Squad. Talk about "not getting it right".

Everything DC from MOS all the way to The Suicide Squad (and very soon to Flash, Black Adam and Aquaman 2) has been a bumpy road but continues to be a source of pure enjoyment for me. Even with the two biggest misfires included (SS, WW84), this series has been bold, brave and at times absolutely brilliant. Snyder's Cut of JL remains my favourite film in this series, along with WW and MOS.

@DarthDimi , the studio/Whedon version of Justice League had me immensely disliking The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, thinking they were miscast even. Hearing that Cyborg was meant to be "the heart of the movie", made me think "Yeah, right. Oh boy, what hyperbole."The longer Snyder version changed all that. I gradually found myself loving those characters as well, and the actors did a great job. It s just that their work was butchered in the former cut. And Cyborg was indeed the heart of the movie in this far improved version.

My biggest issue with the Snyder cut is that it’s clearly not the film we would have gotten in theaters in 2017. There’s NO WAY an R rated four hour cut was going to see a theatrical release. And Snyder himself has confirmed there a multiple cuts of the film he did himself, but ultimately put out the four hour monstrosity on HBO Max. I’ve only watched it once and it’s a step up from the doldrums of MOS/BVS, but holy moly I have no desire to sit through all that again. If I’m ever going to watch this again, I might as well put the studio cut instead. At least it has a more appealing Superman that’s a big fan of justice. ;) Or actually make a two and a half hour cut of the film myself.

Funny thing about AVENGERS, I remember watching it in 2012 and getting the strong impression that it hit the right tone in a way not dissimilar from Bruce Timm’s JUSTICE LEAGUE animated series. Hell, the DCAU remains for me what I actually want to see out of live action DC.
