  • I think Rocksteady could make one crackling Bond game, and seeing as how they completed the Batman Arkham series, they should take over the Licence. Rockstar is another good choice

Hopefully Rocksteady are at work on a Superman game.

Have you seen the leaked images? They appeared sometime a few months ago, along with another Batman game being developed by WB Montreal

Leaked images of a Superman game? I've seen some, but I don't think any that claimed to be from a Rocksteady title.

I don't know Superman game would work. I've heard they're all pretty bad. I understand this, since I think Superman is pretty too all powerful, who can fly around the world in a heartbeat and is pretty indestructible and wouldn't work in a boxed up open world like Batman. So maybe no sandbox gameplay?

It's possible, it's just that the right team hasn't come along. Before Rocksteady, Batman had a small couple of games that weren't garbage, but nothing else.

Supposedly they are from Rocksteady, it's just character designs for Superman and a few other characters so nothing much, but interesting.

I think I've seen those, but I'm not sure they're from a current game. They seemed like designs for a canned game. Who knows.

They probably did cancel it. There hasn't been any sort of news surrounding that game in a while, and they also just canceled the rumoured Suicide Squad game as well. Still would be interesting

How did they get Blofeld into the 007 Legends game before they acquired the rights to him and SPECTRE back?

I was trying to figure that out myself. Perhaps McClory didnt have rights to the territory where OHMSS came in. It could be that Eon and Fleming still had the rights to use Blofeld solely in On Her Majesty's Secret Service and You Only Live Twice, whereas they couldn't have used the organization and the villain outside those stories. Same with McClory not having the rights to use the character of James Bond outside the Thunderball storyline he co-wrote. That's the best I can guess.

I remember when the games had to use Octopus instead.

Bloodstone is amazing and I wish they would've continued that series.

I "played" WOE for months, masochistically beating every level/region once. I'm glad I never spent any money on that rubbish.

Yep, From Russia With Love used OCTOPUS, while Rogue Agent left the organization unnamed.

Not a video game, but the James Bond role-playing game used an organization called TAROT headed by a Karl Ferenc Skorpios instead of SPECTRE's Blofeld due to copyright issues back in the 80s.

Hmm... Doesn't mention its being a video game, however. I'm kind of worried by securing exclusive license over publication of slot/digital/social (whatever) games solely will just set us a few more years back from getting a James Bond video game.

EDIT: Just looked up the company. They're definitely not video game developers. Only social gambling and casino games.
  • Disappointing to say the least, just looking at the title first look I was actually hoping that would mean more video games but I guess not.

Bunch of bullshit. Only people going to play those are a bunch of wannabes in the casino. Bond would never even play slots.

Christ almighty, you have got to be kidding me. The exclusive goddamn rights to James Bond in the sphere or interactive entertainment is going to...slot machines. What an absolute, pathetic joke.

All the great consoles that are out right now with all the possibilities of their next-gen hardware, and Bond is going to have no part in any of it. People claim EON have lost the plot as producers, but that's far from true. Here is where they're really out of it. They could be printing money if they weren't so thick.

    That's great news!

I need to get one of these slot machines, so I'm able to play all these next gen Bond games. This is the future of gaming; slot machines, baby!

It seems that the people who end up in decision making positions are always the people least equipped for such a task.

Casino games and slot machines? Seriously?

    This is ridiculous.

They tried going down the mobile games route with WoE and failed.

Don't they read these threads at all? The fans demanding video games? and the people out there hungry for the opportunity to make a very staggering outcome out of a very well put effort?

And now, waste all that money on slot machine games? Okay...

I really don't know what's their vision with the gaming world of the intellectual property or what are they aiming for in the first place, but whatever this is, it's going to fail. This is not the 1970s anymore.

Daniel Craig is a gamer, he should talk to these people at eon/mgm.

Smack them around a bit, if necessary.

This actually makes WoE look good by comparison. Just when I thought they couldn't make any less of a game than World of Excrement they make a slot machine!

Hopefully it fails swiftly. Of course, knowing them, they'll just give up entirely and claim there's no market for Bond games.

No, there is, we just want good ones!

Another issue arises here. This company has exclusive rights to Bond-gaming. This means, if they wanted to be litigious, they could sue to shut down Goldeneye: Source, whereas EON have turned a blind eye and let the fans have their harmless fun. Oh please don't let that happen.
