    I would assume so- Orlov explains to the committee that his tank divisions on the Russian border and Czechoslovakia would be sufficient and that they are ready, and can withstand, any counterattack from NATO. Thus, couple this with nuclear disarmament, then that leaves Russia able to walk right across the border and invade Western Europe.

    In SF's climax, how the heck does Silva expect his henchmen to kill Bond but save M for himself by riddling Skyfall with bullets from helicopter gunfire and tossing grenades through the windows?

    Then again, most of the rest of his set-up is quite sophisticated. I'm surprised that at the final stretch of his self-ordained mission of vengeance he would go mental like that.

    The emotions likely were catching up with him clouding his judgement......the target was in sight and he finally was going to get what he'd been dreaming about for years. I love the look on his face when he turns around after getting knifed and sees Bond.

    I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the continuity of the films. So, with Casino Royale being the reboot, is EON saying that they other films (Connery-Brosnan) never occurred? Or is it safe to assume that some of these adventures occurred after the events of Quantum of Solace, at some point - or have yet to take place yet?

    There is no explanation other than that the writing is just awful and stupid, especially in the last act of Skyfall, which has some of the most cringe-worthy moments ever in any Bond movie.

    :)) He seems more annoyed that his planned failed than anything. Face was like: "Geesh. Thanks. How am I going to kill her now?"

    One shouldn't worry about continuity when it comes to Bond. It's like asking whether there are two jokers, since both Michael Keaton and Christian Bale's batmen had to fight him.

    I agree with you, @NickTwentyTwo! Think of the black and white intro with the Technicolor opening credits. That would be beautiful.

    Does someone have any experience on waiting outside the cinema before a Bond-premier? When to go to get a good place? Where to stand? Things like that.

    A lot of cinemas may work differently, but the Alamo Drafthouse that I attend has four separate line setups for the bigger releases that start allowing you to line up early. I saw SF at midnight and started lining up at 9:30 PM. They let you in about 45 minutes to an hour before the showing, so first in line gets first pick in seats.

    What did Bond mean when he called Moneypenny "Britain's last line of defense" in OHMSS? Was it because she was so dedicated to her job that she turned him down?

    Speaking of which, Moneypenny turning Bond down for a date in OHMSS made no sense. She was practically gagging for Bond in every previous film. I understand Lazenby isn't as charming as Connery but the movie isn't supposed to know that, haha.
