Good game by United. Was probably expecting more from Ajax, being a final and all, but the early goals in each half, made that a bit difficult.

    Jose is different gravy.

They are a turgid team and should've been knocked out numerous times before now but they never gave Ajax a sniff. Superbly drilled performance.

All these clowns like Wenger and Pep with their 'styles of play' and 'philosophies' take note. It's winning that counts.

Jose still the guvnor tactically for me.

Get in. Jose has taken a lot of grief this season (Some justified some not) but he's won 2 out of a possible 4 trophies. 3 out of 5 if you include the Charity Shield. Being in the Champions League will help with player recruitment

In the end Jose gambled though he made the right decision, winning any trophy is a time to celebrate. This match tonight transcended football.

Just got back from the ground. Cracking result and tactically by brilliant from Jose. Good atmosphere from both sides, but the Ajax hardcore were a disgrace at the end. They weren't even in it so doubly ridiculous behaviour. Looking forward to the CL group draw.

I'm not a United fan as many of you will know. But I am more than happy the Manchester United won the Europa League final. Seems fitting that they should.

Do you think that Mourinho will go for a more attacking approach when he gets new players in for next season?

Jose hailed as a genius for beating a team of teenagers with a squad worth billions of euros? Ok...

I hope so for periods this season United were more expansive though Jose reverted to default more often than not, now we are in the Champions League group stage we should attract the likes of Griezman.

Late I know but just wanted to say well done to Man Utd for their Europa Cup win last night. No doubt it was not an easy thing to focus on with everything that took place back home.

On a separate note? I see we have a new Manager finally! Better get on the website and learn some more shortly!

Well I watched the Euroleague final and must say that it was one of the laziest matches I have seen for years. ManU scored a lucky goal with their first attempt and then more or less stopped playing football but were just defending (very well). Ajax was at least ambitious but not really smart. They have always waited much too long. After ManU scored the second goal the game was more or less over.

Well congratulations to ManU. Now try to make it to the round of 16 in the CL next year which I think is more difficult.

But scoring a lucky goal an then defending deep against a team worth 1/6 (probably less actually) of your own is a work of genius, don't you see? So is scraping through ties against European powerhouses such as Anderlecht and Celta Vigo. It truly shows what a tactical genius Jose is. I suggest you worry about your own team before you question that!

Speaking of EL: I'm just happy Arsenal won't be playing against Bayern München again anytime soon. Transfer targets this summer on the other hand... No CL can't be good for transfer business.

'There are lots of poets in football but poets, they don't win many titles.'

Lovely stuff from Mourinho. Too many fans, managers and pundits who have disappeared right up their own arses. It's about winning. Otherwise, go and put on an exhibition.

You miss the point. Claiming, like some here have tried, that winning the least competitive EL in years with a team that has spent a ridiculous fortune on superstars is a huge managerial achievement, is simply absurd. Jose is only delivering just about what should be expected of him. If you want to win cynically with the best and significantly most valuable team in the competition, at least do it cinvincingly.

I supported Man Utd as the people og Manchester deserved this after the recent tragedy. But I am not buying the notion that this is some stroke og managerial genius...

You're the only one using the word genius. Literally no one else has said that. We're just noting that he got his tactics spot on. United have, bar the odd game, struggled to convince this season. They weren't all of a sudden going to become a lethal force in full flow.

About to tune inn to the FA Cup final shortly. Looking forward to this, and at the same time not at all. Injuries and Koscielny's suspention don't make an Arsenal fan optimistic. Really, all what's interesting is what the next few weeks and months will bring. Is Wenger staying? Many think he'll get two more years, others think he'll not. Is this Sánchez last game for Arsenal? I really think that's the last we see of him. Will be interesting which club he'll prefer.

Remind me again what Pocc, Pep and Klopp won?

Nothing wrong with Arsenal's goal. It's a bullshit rule you can be stood in the 6 yard box about to take a swing and you're not offside but thats the rule. Nice one FIFA. Chelsea haven't turned up yet.

Great start by the Gunners though could be out of site, this Chelsea side are dangerous things can change quickly if Arsenal don't capitalise.

I think Chelsea probably over celebrated on JT day, at least we were not subjected to JT day 2.

I'm a bit lost for words right now. I was expecting the worst in this game, and it turned out to be completely different. Some nervy moments indeed, but for once - i think we saw the best of this team. Well, those available, that is. I mean, Per Mertesacker. What can one say about this performance? Was it a 12-13 month preparation for this game? Man of the match EASY!

    tumblr_ocr0laYhCQ1rgx03lo1_500.gif

Now there is some important things to be done. Get the managerial situation sorted. If he stays or not, I hope the reports that next week we'll know is true. Then do all what possibly can be done to keep Sánchez. Buy him a hundred dogs if needed! Lastly, strengthen key places in the team, so we at least can hope to compete with the other top six teams. Statement signings. You see City already has started that.

Congratulations to Arsenal. I'm not sure what happened to Chelsea on the day. They just weren't there. Victor Moses can hang his head in shame, for sealing the fate of his team mates.
Still we won the league. The double would've been nice, but I know which I'd rather win.

Would rather have Arsenal winning the PL-trophy, but the FA cup trophy is a good end to the season. Wenger is really a FA cup specialist by now.

Well, yes... Too much going on behind the scenes to make an Arsenal fan any confident on finishing first for quite some time. Wenger, the board, Kroenke, sporting director role; the list of issues to resolve is long. One can only hope for some clarity by next weekend, and hopefully, some decent signings over the summer. Without the risk of facing teams like Bayern München in competitions anytime soon, I hope they really put in an effort to win the EL-trophy as well - even though how unpopular that competition is.
