    It looks like Skyfall won a Grammy in both of those categories. They don't show these categories during the actual telecast, but they have been confirmed on the Grammy website.

    Congrats to Adele, Paul Epworth, and Thomas Newman!

    I'm going to bed. Someone update if they win/won. I won't be able to check until this time tomorrow.

    ^They already won. As stated in my previous post, the music from films categories are handed out before the telecast.

    Yes, it's confirmed that Adele won for best song written for visual media, her 10th Grammy. I don't know if Newman was nominated, as the only nod I've read for the film is the aforementioned Adele win. Congratulations to Skyfall for still pulling in the wins over a year after its cinematic release!

    It's good to see Skyfall is still on people's minds this long after it's release.

    Let's all hope future Bond films can match it's success.

    Well done, once again and much deserved.

    Very cool to see SF winning awards after all this time. Feels like just yesterday I was sitting in line waiting for the midnight premiere.

    Very happy to see Skyfall win in both categories. That's great!

    I'm still peeved that had they not released the song on the friday, we would have had our first Bond theme hit number 1 in the UK Top 40. That really annoys me.

    Grammy is a big joke, could not care less about who wins there. But congratulations just the same.

    It may be a joke, but it's free advertisement over a year after release. No such thing as bad press :)

    UNIQUE!! Especially the Grammy for 'Best Bond Score'. The last time a Bond film got nominated in that category was in 1977. And now Thomas Newman finally wins a 'Best Score' title. I think this is a great incentive for Newman, after he won a BAFTA, to join the Bond-crew again next year.

    In the category 'Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media', Thomas Newman's 'Skyfall' had some stiff competition:
    --> Argo: Alexandre Desplat, composer
    --> The Great Gatsby: Craig Armstrong, composer
    --> Life Of Pi: Mychael Danna, composer (actual Oscar winner in 2013)
    --> Lincoln: John Williams, composer
    --> Zero Dark Thirty: Alexandre Desplat, composer

    Let's not forget that. So it's a bit 'cheap' Thomas Newman won this Grammy "because Bond celebrated his 50th anniversary" or "because it was a cheap music score year". It's time Thomas Newman receives some proper recognition from the Bond fans in this forum as well :-)!
