In regards to point #4. I think we found that missing link! ;-)

    I love that letter.

"Look at me, I'm going to tell you that kids in the education system should be able to choose whether they believe in the creationist or evolution theory, but I'm going to make it very clear that I only approve of the former and that the latter is an absolute load of bullocks."

This twat doesn't want 50% creationist theory and 50% evolution taught, they want the full 100% to be spent shoving the former down our throats until we upchuck. Bigots trying to pose as open-minded members of society, one of the greatest forms of comedy around.

To be fair, when you read a letter like that, sometimes you do think Darwin was full of crap after all. ;-)

Hey, for evolution to be true you must have the strong overcoming the weak and feeble to go on and carry more favorable traits to the next generations. This man is one of the weak and feeble that must be weeded out so that specimens such as ourselves can pave the way for posterity's children. Therefore, I think Darwin's teachings still hold up. Besides, these imbeciles make us look a whole hell of a lot better, don't they?

Morten Harket was recently on Tornquist show , a Norwegian web based talk show.

He mentioned that he had a caiman croc as a pet when he was 18 , he tried to test it's bite strength with a broom handle.....it bit it off like a match stick. He also had a greenhouse with orchids in his room and every morning at 5.30 am his brother was awaken by the automatic lights turning on lol

He also used to collect butter flies which was no easy task as they fly all over the place.

They also watched Jim Carrey butcher "Take on Me" , Harket was not impressed lol.......no soup for you , mr Carrey >:(

Talk about just about anything under the sun?
Here's one that has been bugging me:
TV shows that I will stop watching

I want to say some things about Dowton Abby
I am probably one of the few on these threads that watch that show but I was so disappointed in this last (Season 4) that I just want to forget about it. The first three seasons were pretty good but Season 4 started with so much promise and just crashed and burned. Maybe Crash and Burn is not accurate, it was sooo BORING.

Another show that has pissed me off royally is everyone's favorite guilty pleasure: Scandal
This Shonda Rhimes show about a sexy Washington "fixer"is going thru some serious identity crises. It just aired the season finale and I happened to miss it, and in all likihood will not be returning when it comes back in the fall.
This show has no idea what the hell it wants to be.
Is it a political drama like West Wing ??
Is it a prime time soap like Revenge or Dallas ??
Is it going to be a drama about terrorist ala 24 ?

I give up. Dallas is a soap opera and it knows it and the writers are not trying to make it into anything else. With Scandal, whenever shows reach this crises of identity, we all know what comes next...SHARK JUMPING.

I stand corrected: SCANDAL HAS ALREADY JUMPED THE SHARK

    Polar Bear Watch summer job

A job announcement from Basecamp Spitsbergen on Svalbard can also be said to be special. They will engage a cabin host to the world's northernmost expedition hut at Base Camp Explorers Lodge , at the front of the Nordenskiöld glacier , 65 km by sea from Longyearbyen......the capital of Svalbard.

Nearest neighbor is the abandoned Russian settlement in "the Pyramid".

There is an abundance of wildlife with polar bears, seals, reindeer and arctic foxes.

Chalet Host shall provide cleaning and serving in addition to being polar bear guard. There is no electricity , cell phone coverage or internet at the cabin and at times you will be totally alone.

"So it is an advantage if you are not a fraidy cat" , says the ad.

This must be the coolest summer job on earth for lovers of wild nature, blue ice and Arctic silence, together with nice people. The person we are looking for must be self helped and seeing the joy of being in nature, says head of Basecamp, Steinar Rorgemoen.

There's this show on Scandinavian tv called "Luxury Trap" , anyway it's about people overspending/needing financial advice. One show featured a woman who had her father , of all people , pay for her silicon implants since she couldn't afford them herself.

I guess you'd say her economy went "tits up" , LMFAO.......oh brother :D

71 years after she was Hitlers maid , 89 yr old Elisabeth Kalhammar reveals how the Fuhrer was in private.

She has never spoken to the press but now breaks her silence to the Salzburger Nachrichten.

Should we believe the Austrian woman then AH was a sweet tooth who liked to eat cakes in the middle of the night : for example chocolate cake or scones with cream.

She says it was Hitlers woman Eva Braun who was the boss at home in his private summer residence (villa Berghof) and all 23 employees was to greet ms Braun with "heil noble woman" and the rules of the house were strict.

Hitler refused to talk to employees other than those who had worked there the longest. It was only the most experienced servants who had access to his private room.

There was an incident where she broke a teacup , this was deducted in the form of less time off for her.

Kalhammar says that Hitler had big problems with his spleen and had to go on a strict diet and had a cook who was responsible for the food at the Berghof and that would ensure that AH got the proper nutritious food.

Every night employees had to make an apple pie with nuts and raisins , ready for Hitler's night feast.

"They were to think but not talk"

Kalhammar (then called Elisabeth Marchtrenkerin) got the job after responding to a job advertisement in the local newspaper.

She had no idea that it was AH who was the employer but she got the job on the day.

Berghof was leveled by a bomber April 25th , 1945.

She says that her mother warned her about taking the job but Elizabeth did not dare to say no.

Many said I should be grateful to have gotten the job.

I felt dizzy when I arrived , the house was full of guests and then suddenly the Fuhrer was there , she says.

Perhaps. But his career is over and his reputation smashed to pieces. That will hurt him much more than any prison sentence. He's always been a fame hungry whore and he deserves everything he's got.

Hopefully, there will be civil lawsuits to come and he'll wind up penniless in four years time when he's released.

The other day, I met an actor called Richard Coyle who worked with Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) in the film Prince of Persia. I managed to ask him how she was to work with, in which he replied that she was "a total Essex girl, who like to talk about and laugh about everything around her". He is also very good friends with Johnny Depp, and he joked that he was going to put him on "loud speaker", but he thought better of it...

I've also learnt that one of my uncles friends is friends with a woman who was one of Octopussy's girls, who were part of the raid on Kamal Khan's Palace.

And one of my friends managed to get a personalised autograph from Daniel Craig (saying happy birthday!) via his sister! The autograph is on a still from Skyfall, during the Shanghai assassination scene. I must say, jealousy is to put it mildly!

These are my tenuous links to the Bond franchise!

That's cool, MayDay! I have no links to Bond. Zip. Zilch.

I need to at least write to some Bonds. Hmmm. I'll put that on my To Do list.

@MayDayDiVicenzo, in February of this year, I sent Daniel Craig my blu-ray case of 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,' a fan letter, and a photo of him in SF. I didn't get a letter back, nor my photo (for some reason, but to this day, I still hope he'll show up at my front door and return it!), but he did sign my case. It isn't personalized, but it's the first autograph I've received from an A-list celebrity, and one of my favorites to boot!

So cool! I was thinking about sending of my Casino Royale DVD, but I just thought, "nah, I'll never get it back!". Sigh...
