    That's a nice little clip, @marketto007.

And I want to say Brosnan looks great in that quick comment by him. Pretty bold for the producers to move on (and I fully understand why they did) when he looks like he has several more missions in him.

Found this one while browsing through an interior blog. I know I've seen publicity stills of Maud Adams from what probably is the same TMWTGG photoshoot, but not this one.

Nice interior piece, that photo print!

Tell her about the value of having a great interior piece as the focal point of the living room, and who knows – maybe she would approve? :-D

Heavens above, I wouldn't suggest for one minute that those two were up to no good while their respective partners were not around.

    :))

Edit. Those pictures might tell a little story, come to think of it:
    5f746c30d7b213ded4f6aec9d1b623b8.jpg
Connery: "Wanna come back to my place and check out the size of my conch?"

    7bfa7f6db37fdeed97847bea55c87f37.jpg
Connery: " Oh no, I lost my conch! Ursula, Quick! I'll hold on to you while you try and get it back!"

    78b3f34530720ac5d195ac7659fe3e48.jpg
Connery: "Does this look like a conch to you? An invisible one maybe!"

    48c45f69406eb66a1f960e5a46fa03bf.jpg
Connery: "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get so upset."

I came across this one a few weeks back. Should have posted it here. Most of the shots of these two together are from the 80's but it's nice to see one from earlier. Rog probably didn't know he was going to be Bond at this time and Sean was gone and probably didn't know he'd be back for one more official entry. I wonder if they discussed Lazzer.

EDIT: And I'll raise you one

Cool video. Thanks. He seemed pretty chilled about his chances. Must admit I kinda prefer Craig with slightly longer floppy hair (his 2005 press conference hair). I dunno if it would have looked right for Bond - perhaps not. At the end of the clip when he's walking towards the cinema - you can tell he's average height. The Bond heightist brigade (!) have to accept height (or relative lack of) may not be a factor when casting Bond#7.

I believe Patrick McGoohan was also there with them at dinner, according to a book by McGoohan himself.

I certainly hope it'll be a factor! I'm Craig's height, and consider myself short.

Now there's an actor who would've been a great Bond villain!

He turned down the role twice. Once before Dr. No was in production and once Connery was out of the picture in '67.

So I've read. He was always brilliant as villains though – like in Columbo. I think he easily could have played one of Hugo Drax, Francisco Scaramanga, (a younger) Karl Stromberg or Aristotle Kristatos.

I've never read up on this, but when did EON first express interest in signing Roger for the role?

There were rumours that he was under consideration right at the start, but he's denied that (not sure if that's him being modest or not). So I'm assuming it might have been 1972, because he was tied up with The Saint and The Persuaders during the time of OHMSS and DAF if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks, guess it must have been 1972 given his commitment with those two shows. Would have been fun if he was under consideration when that above photo was taken (considering his awkward smile that is!)
