The next Bond is going to be Timothée Chalamet,
Had to look him up - never heard of him. American of French origin? Fat chance. Also, the way he looks on recent pictures makes me think he should age another ten years or so before anyone could think of having him as Bond. And I, at least, do not wish to wait another ten years for the next Bond movie.

Timothee Chalamet as Bond would be one of the strangest pieces of miscasting I’ve ever seen… and keep in mind this was an actor recently cast as Willy Wonka (for reasons apart from his fame I’m not entirely sure of).

Yeah, I don't quite get the following behind his casting. Speaking of Willy Wonka, Chalamet as Bond would be like casting Gene Wilder as Superman back in the '70s.

As I'd rather have his older sister as Bond girl. I think, as a rule, Bond-nominiees should not have attractive actress-sisters, as that would rule them out as Bond-girls.

I was born in 1972 (first Bond cinema trip was Moonraker) so this is the same for me unless …Tom Cruise for the next Bond anyone?

You don't mean that, do you? He's four years older than Roger was in AVTAK.

No, not really. I am spending a lot of time watching the Moore films where he is older than me at the time of filming. Still, it’s cheaper than getting a motorbike and tattoo.

Craig will be the last bond that is younger than me. I am a 1969 baby and he was 1968. Interesting that he was so close in age to me. I have to think the next fella will be in the late 80's or early 90's? Or do they go really young and pick a person born in late 90's. surely they can't pick an actor born in 2000?

Depends on the actor. It's a bit weird writing about hypothetical contenders I like such as Harris Dickinson in the actors thread who are more or less the same age as me, even if they're said to be on the younger side!

Craig was in the role for so long the next actor's age is obviously going to be a bit of a jump. I can't see them going for anyone born in 2000 though unless someone really stands out. Personally I don't think it's as much to do with a specific age (I think they could go for an actor in their mid/late 20s just as easily as they could go with an actor pushing 40 and do so on their strengths, but anything older or younger raises questions).

It's taking them such a long time, my son might be the next Bond-actor! He's almost six now....

I think Dragonpol is immortal; youth means nothing to him when you have ultimate power.

And everywhere. Blofeld thought he had all that covered, the, you know, being everywhere, having supper with your family, and all of that. Pfft, child's play. Dragonpol was doing that since the dawn of time.

Oh he looks the part, allthough dark blonde. More kind of Moore. Quite the sense of humour too.

😂!! Start training when he hits six.

In twenty years time we will want to see him for an audition.

Time’s ticking, no dilly-dallying. Whole foods, lots of protein, and start reading to him in different languages. Be open and discuss wine and scotch, and invest in an Aston or two. This next Bond we want won’t be acting the part, but he will *be* the part!

    😂

Well, he's already bilangual, working on th third language now slowly. He has already good taste in cars (has a Jaguar F-type convertible as his favorite), but the food thing will be a challenge..... ;-)
