Are the use of 'Announcements' the new Stickies? I hope so, as it'll be great to have them back.
• It doesn't seem much different from as it was before on first inspection, why the need for an adjustment anyway as it all seemed fine before and I had no issues with site navigations and what was available etc.

Im serious in saying I'm not really one for changes, I can appreciate there may be some who felt a need to improve on whatever they felt needed improving, but as stated I felt it was fine enough before

I can only hope I get used to these adjustments and new settings etc

Please respect other peoples views

Seriously, does anyone access this from a smartphone or ipod? How can I navigate to the most recent page? I keep having to click on 'more comments' as it defaults to the very first page. Since the update it won't take me to most recent unless I post... Any thoughts folks? Thank you for any help you can give me. :-)

I think you'll find many people at least wanted the 'Bold', 'Italic' and 'Underline' options included again along with Spoiler tags. The changes won't really affect one unless they choice to change their options.

There's no big layout change or anything like that to get used to, in my opinion at least.

I've never had any trouble on my PSP. I'll see what it is like using this new update and report back to you.
• I don't want to ask silly questions but in regard to posting pictures would it be the same before, I haven't posted a picture on an Internet forum since about June and may have forgotten the correct procedure, same as with Youtube embeds etc

Say you go to Photobucket, get an image, click on the right link to copy and paste and away you go, I haven't done this for ages

I can see there are new buttons and features around here but thought I'd ask first before attempting anything myself (which could result in a minor disaster) X_X

^^cheers mate appreciate that.
The main board has the page numbers listed at the bottom but it's just the thread screens that are devoid of any navigation on IPod/iPhone. I'll check my cookies and history file too in case I've deleted some cache. Sorry to bang on about it, I just want to be able to view threads without trawling through 300+ comments ( in some cases)

Sometimes its appropriate for a good joke, though.

And it would mess up quotes. Especially Tarantino quotes.

Or even Ian Fleming's quotes. Remember Casino Royale ?

Anyway, good additions to the forum. Thanks a lot.

Remember LALD?? That is what we really need to worry about.

You need to right click the image and go to 'Properties', then copy it's URL into a forum post.

Highlight that text, click the image button, that will add the needed tags and you're done!

Highlighting any text and clicking the 'Bold' button will make the text bold, in the same way and the exact same thing applies for the 'Italics', 'Underline' and Spoilers.

As for YouTube, just copy the web address from the browser into a forum post and the video will appear.

Try it all out by editing one of your posts and see what happens!
• Thanks Samuel

Woohoo! :D

Now try YouTube. Bold and Italics is just the same as the picture, but easier, so you will have no problems there. Spoilers could also prove useful (that's the '?' button).

By the way, to anyone who can, it's great that <a href="http://www.mi6community.com/index.php?p=/discussion/371/mi6-community-technical-roadmap">this thread may need an update!</a>

Same fore me about the mobile version. On my iPhone I always get to the first page and there are no page numbers to choose from. I have to go through clicking "more comments", and like you say that's a bit of a hazzle with big threads :)

Glad it's not just me, but I feel your pain. :-)
Any chance this could be addressed.???

I'm always on the move ( I'm not a Dale Farm resident) and I rely on my wifi iPod touch connection to join in the party. Thanks for confirming this confusion Disco.

Solved it!! Hit 'full site' version at the bottom if the screen. It will take you to the fully functional pages and all is as it should be. I'm so happy, I'm buying all of you a beer (virtually). :-) Thanks for all the input guys and hope this nugget helps others. :-)
• Don't touch the stuff

Er, I can't see a 'Full Site' version at all @-)

Nevermind, it seems not too different as it was before, I just hit 'General Discussion' every time I go back and it's seems familiar enough as it was before

Any difficulties or anxieties are rather minor I'm sure

The URL button, the one inbetween the 'Image' and 'Spoiler' ones, doesn't work for me. What is this supposed to do when working? Thanks in advance for any help.

MI6

gives: MI6

Be sure to start the URL with http://
http://www.mi6-hq.com

also works, gives http://www.mi6-hq.com

(As I'm sure you already know from the old forums Samuel, so I think you were just missing the http:// or something :) )

OK, thanks Disco, I get it now. Indeed I was making a mistake and really missed the point with this one. One more problem left, when I click the button, nothing happens, no tags are brought or anything even like that. Why is this?

Hm, yeah that's weird. When I click the button I get the

tags. Same as with all other buttons.

Well, I'm glad it is just me it's happened to. All my other buttons work so it's no big deal, it's only strange and I can live with strange.

WAIT, I have a complaint. It seems the new "jump to the first page if the discussion is new to you" feature is buggy on cell phones.

Every time I click on a discussion on my DROID, it takes me to the first page, or the top. On cell phones its one long stream, not pages. It takes me ages to go all the way down a 600 post discussion!

Is it just me?

Same here. Just noticed it and came to report the bug.

On mobile: Choose full site instead (lower right corner). If you have a decently big screen it will be just fine :)

And looks nicer.
