Those, too, but let me assure the audience the traditional DYMO Label Maker is available today as modern technology in use alongside the No 2 pencil and the paper clip. And Crayon.

Amazon Prime. "#1 Best Seller" in Labels Applicator category.
USD 6.00, no shipping cost. Too cheap not to buy.

Fun absolutely, @PropertyOfALady, thanks. I didn't recall the deleted scene from The World Is Not Enough--equal parts good it wasn't in the film, likewise something to relish that it exists at all.

That...is gonna take some work if it's not already done. But especially for the recent films I've enjoyed getting the standalone tracks for background music used, like "Regresa" during the Greene Planet dinner party. Can be done.

It's official: TMWTGG has the longest unedited take in all the JB films. QoS has the shortest.

    My favourite longest takes are:

LALD: Great bits of dialogue and Moore's expressive reactions to Solitaire.
TMWTGG: Longest take of all time. Effective use of blocking/staging.
CR (2006): Such a simple yet powerful scene (yes, a "scene"). Fantastic acting.
SP: Opening shot and it's just so smooth.

I decided to watch DAD (shudder) just so I could finish off this statistics page of mine. Worth it in the end though. A few interesting things pop out when looking through some of the stats.

I was surprised that 9 of the total longest takes featured Bond in bed with a girl. It must be the way these scenes are filmed: as few cameras as possible with minimal set-ups and angles to make the actors more at ease and they don't need to wait for lighting etc. Basically, shoot it and get it done with.

Glen didn't seem to enjoy having any long takes in his films -- both edited and directed. Interesting as it underlines the overall consensus that he had faster paced/edited films.

If there are any other stats I should add then let me know. I think during my next viewings, when watching these longest takes, I'll look out for any other notable things present (smoking/alcohol/animals), but that'll be a while.

(I think the IMDb lists more but those that appear above I have and personally checked against the film.)

Is this for music not composed and arranged for the film, or just not composed for the film? Because if it's the latter there are a few re-recordings in TSWLM and MR that were made specifically for those films.

    Alright then:

    The Spy Who Loved Me:
Air in Orchestral Suite No. 3
    Johann Sebastian Bach

Piano Concerto #21 in C Major
    Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

    Lawrence of Arabia - Overture
    Maurice Jarre

    Nocturne No. 8 in D-Flat
    Frédéric Chopin

    Moonraker:
    Theme from the Magnificent Seven
    Elmer Bernstein

    ---

All of those with the exception of the Mozart piece are no doubt re-recordings. The first one begins with a synth flourish. The second one segues perfectly smoothly into different music which demonstrates it was all recorded together. The Chopin music, originally for piano, is given a lovely orchestral arrangement. The Magnificent Seven is clearly a Barry-style re-recording.

The Mozart music was likely re-recorded for the film but I'm not one hundred percent positive. (You know, that music is famous in my country because it's played daily on the weather report of a TV channel. One hears it so often it can be underappreciated, but it's really beautiful.)

On the subject of catalog music, in AVTAK, the Four Seasons music is, in chronological order:

    Autumn, movement 3 (allegro)
    Spring, movement 1 (allegro)
    Winter, movement 3 (allegro)

The music was performed by English Concert with Simon Standage on baroque violin, and directed from the harpsichord by Trevor Pinnock. It was released in 1976. Some years later, the same people were involved in another recording of The Four Seasons, though that one sounds different from the AVTAK version (and I personally like it less). From what I've seen on the web, some people have confused the recordings, thinking the more recent version was used for AVTAK while in fact it was the older one.

You can hear the second recording here.

Listen to the preview of the 3rd movement of Autumn. It's different from the film version. It's especially noticeable about 12 seconds into the preview.

    DYMO Label Maker.

Dymo Industries, Inc. founded 1958 to produce handheld label makers using embossed plastic tape. By the 90s battery-powered printers came into play. Owned by Newell Rubbermaid since 2005.
    f52051201881902d38bf30d672291ac8.jpg

An invaluable piece of technology and Western culture. Here's what I found in the Bond films.
    Early Connery. Minus labels.

Goldfinger. Bond mania truly takes off, with DYMO labels an important part of that.
    James-Bond-DB5-ejection-seat.jpg
    6bbd8deddb23c389f28d9dd37af7d195--aston-martin-db-bond-cars.jpg
    170126122906-james-bond-car-switches-780x439.jpg

Thunderball. No labels found, but also notice the absence of labels when OO7 opens the same control panel of his Aston Martin DB5 (the motorcycle rocket action scene). Apparently he had instructions to memorize what each switch did after Goldfinger, sans labels.

You Only Live Twice. A colorful flourish.
    hqdefault.jpg

The in between years, the franchise juggles Bond actors and styles and risks losing its way. Not least evidenced by the omission of DYMO labels.

The Spy Who Loved Me. The welcome return in the opening moments.
    38924aab89257111ff0d0a2996d500fc.jpg

Moonraker. Could have used more, but this was good.
    22491737081_de002b2e76_b.jpg

Moore films of the 80s. Didn't find any.

The Living Daylights. A proper effort to establish a new Bond, includes DYMO labels.
Licence to Kill. What happened? To the DYMO labels, I mean.

The Brosnan years. Didn't find examples of DYMO labels here, gadget functions are either built into the displays or given flashy (and unnecessary) custom labels. Even for Tomorrow Never Dies, especially, a surprising omission of labels here.

The Craig tenure continued the unexplainable dearth of DYMO labels, either by accident or by design. But thankfully it couldn't last forever.

Spectre. The welcome return of DYMO labels.
    CSK_13421_0019.jpg

BOND 25 demands following formula stricture for this important element.

Of course additional DYMO label sightings are welcome here.

What would you like to do, guys? I'm sure there are many topics left unexplored. Suggestions welcome.

How long is Bond in a car (as driver and in total)...
    The longest (fist)fights...
    First and last sentences...
How often do we hear “James“ and “Bond“, “James Bond“ and the most famous variation.
